My 90 year old mother went to a movie a few days ago. Some asshole (such as yourself?) was sitting next to her coughing and "wheezing". My mother wasn't feeling well yesterday. Yep, you guessed it. My mother tested positive for Covid today. Not fun for her when she's 90 and she is trying to call her doctor on a Labor Day weekend Sunday to see what she should or shouldn't be doing to treat herself.
Hey, if she dies from/with Covid - she was 90 so she would/should have died anyways. Right?

I am not at all saying this is/was the case but of course I am going to blame someone IF (that's a HUGE if) they were knowingly sick and went to a movie and sat next to someone - not caring if they infected the person/people they were sitting next to. No matter if the person they sat next to was 90 or 10 or any age in-between. No matter if the person who was sick had Covid or "just" the flu, or a cold, or whatever.

My mother may have caught Covid from someone else. We will never know.

I don't really give a damn if masks "work" or "don't work". Right now, this isn't about masks.

I do give a damn IF (again - that's a HUGE if) someone showed signs of being sick and didn't give a damn about getting someone else sick. At a movie, on a bus, at work, in a restaurant, at a concert, whatever.
I go off on people who come in to my office and are CLEARLY sick - and people make ME out to be the asshole.
That's the country I live in - and the people who live in this country.

What I AM against is lockdowns and mandates. Governmental overreach is beyond the pale, and I am confident that a lot of people agree.
