Youve never needed a license or training to open carry....thats only for concealed carry. This isnt new...just ramped up by the media to induce panic and whip up the base.

Still, I don't think it's a good idea. I haven't had any gun training since Boy Scouts (no need to insert joke here), and you probably wouldn't want me concealed carrying a compensator around. Makes no sense.

unless you’re in law enforcement or working in the bush amongst dangerous animals, i’ll never understand carrying just for the sake of carrying

imo, nothing says over-compensation more...goes right along with a jacked up truck with over-sized tires and fake testicles hanging off the back

maybe it’s just me, but if a person is truly tough/macho, they shouldn’t have to try so hard

I never carry unless im in the woods. But, probably about 50% of the time I have something in the truck. Not for protection so much as you never know when youre gonna make a trip to the mountains or be out in the middle of nowhere where its nice to have something around.

My point is true though. This is being blown up by the media to create a frenzy. 29 states have no permit open carry laws with no fanfare.
