OMG, forgot about that song. Now I’ll never be able to forget it.
This has all of the energy and pure musical joy as early Nirvana.japhy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 9:56 am A double bill tour coming to US in a couple of months. Trying to decide where I want to see it. The Fillmore in SF sounds cool and I could visit my daughter and drag her along. Denver at The Gothic might be a good venue. I have friends there. And then there is Delmar in St Louis, I could drag my tight ass nephew along. I feel like I am a good influence on him.

If for no other reason, I think I need a Drinking Boys and Girls Choir t-shirt.
I think you guys should hit the Detroit show and take MICH with you.japhy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 2:49 pm Otoboke Beaver reminds me of seeing the Dead Kennedys circa 1980. Black Flag played that hard but they were too fucking serious about it. Jello Biafra always had a sense of humor about what they were up to on stage. IDLES was the closest thing I have seen to that energy recently. But at the IDLES show the crowd knew the words to the songs. With the lyrics in Japanese, it should be real disorienting for most of the fans.
If you wanna go Defix, we can take the train to St Louis and back. My sister would pick us up in Kirkwood. I like the train cuz I can get stoned and listen to music on the 5 hour trip to and from St Louis.
I would have never thought 52 years later I would hear Bobby and Mickey along with John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge, and Jay Lane, perform it in front of 50,000+ people.jhawks99 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 11:37 pm Good stuff from 1971
