Singer has been unbelievable the last two starts. 22 Ks, 0 earned runs. No decisions. Because Matheny is an idiot who can't manage MLB. 27+ innings without getting close to scoring a run. Also unbelievable.

Read something that the top 4 of the Royals rotation in the month of July has been just fantastic. Singer, Bubic, Keller and Greinke.
Combined 108 IP with a 3.17 ERA
12-13 for month of July with still a few games against the Yankees.

I hate the Yankees.
I hope Benny gives em all mild COVID during the playoffs.

Something is wrong with the baseball this year. I think the MLB is basically altering games with dead versus live balls in certain ABs. It sounds crazy but the HR metrics of a very average hitting Yankee team in a dead ball year? It took herculean effort for the Royals to break the scoring drought and Salvy just absolutely mashed a HR that barely cleared the wall.

An ugly Matheny inspired collapse yesterday against a team whose competitive advantages against the rest of the league is so pronounced I might have to quit watching baseball. "Big wealthy guy beats the crap out of tiny homeless drifters. Highlights at 10." MLB's major problem is the one everyone has been avoiding since the Curt Flood decision. Revenue share or send the Yankees on a permanent barnstorming tour. Make Fenway the national baseball museum.

Well the one silver lining is that the Yankees, despite all their spending, haven't had much to show for it for 13+ seasons.

Whit traded to Toronto (What a troll job by Piccolo)
Max Castillo 3.05 ERA in 20 innings as a reliever and starter. Big starter with some good stuff.
2B/OF Samad Taylor is Toronto's 16th best prospect.
Nice haul.

Good! Showed his true self recently. He’s still pissed he didn’t get called up when the Royals won it all in 2015.

Kids are on display and just destroyed the Red Sox by winning 3 out of 4 games and by out scoring them by 10 runs over 4 games.
Pratto, BWJ, Melendez, Massey, Eaton and Isbel all had a great series.
Play the youngsters.

The Royals have been pretty darn good. Still some in-game manager and coaching errors, but the kids are alright.

About damn time. His recent comments about the report done on the Athletic was nail in the coffin.
It was beyond time.

Since I'm not a Royals fan, the recent Athletic story had passed me by. I went back and read it this morning when I heard Sherman called a press conference for this afternoon and figured there was no way Moore survived that. I know Picollo has been around the organization for a while but guessing he still wants to hire his own manager so Matheny should be next.

You have to give him props for the World Series squad.
He's just kinda shit the bed since that - including giving up on that team too early and trying to use Soria as the closer.
We would have been a Wild Card team with Wade Davis.
And now, this was the year we were supposed to see improvement, and did not.
