It still boggles my brain how dismissive Trump supporters and some fence sitters are of what happened and the depth of the efforts taken to try to overthrow the election.

Not only did she say she was definitely not going to jail, she listed her blonde hair and white skin as first among the reasons why.
The harshest sentence related to Jan. 6 so far was 14 months, to a black dude, who wasn’t even at the Capitol. It was just for some shit he said on Parler.

i hate to say it, but i don’t think it matters what the committee finds

There isn't anything to make my mind up about but I would like to know exactly how involved current members of Congress were as well as the efforts that were made to allow the event to happen so that adjustments can be made to procedures and processes so that law enforcement is better prepared to handle such an event. I'd love to say that we would never have such an event again but nothing will surprise me moving forward. The vitriol is worse now than it was then and will only get worse still once the next Republican is voted out of the White House.

The involved federal law enforcement offices would be a good start.

Will anyone among the newly subpoenaed even play ball?
Pretty sure everyone else has defied them thus far, right?
You’d think somebody would start singing like a bird as a matter of covering their own ass, but then again, it’s difficult to overestimate the conservative capitulation to Trump

He remains because his base remains. It has nothing to do with Democrats no matter how much his base tries to blame them for their behavior.

and yet, how many times have Republicans had the opportunity to make Trump go away, but instead very obediently buried their heads in sand for the sake of preserving Trump?
