And why is the full, unredacted transcript not in play? Would that not clear up an awful lot in a hurry? Why was protocol breached by storing it on some other super secret database, anyway?
I think you're imagining things.
There is likely NOT a full-er transcript. There usually aren't.
No matter what Chris Hayes tells you.
How about if Lt Col Vindman said there is.........or at least used to be?
Schumer, though he is MINority Leader is using all the tools he has in his possession to get what he wants. Kevin McCarthy could have used all the tools he had. Turns out that Schumer's tools (including his coordination with Pelosi) are more powerful than those McCarthy possesses. Schumer is using them. Moscow Mitch is having an ouchie! Lindsey Graham is having an ouchie. Trump is having a meltdown.

Unless 4 republicans cross over, repeatedly, or Trump can't stand it and insists on a trial in a desperate effort to be "exonerated" by the senate, you're kidding yourself if you think McConnell isn't going to do what he wants.
I hope I'm wrong, but

Only one having a meltdown here is Ousie.

If I read that correctly, Amy Schumer's cousin is the problem.

If I may ask again, do you really think we shouldn’t hear from those dudes?
Sure.
Now go back in time and tell the veryexcellentsupergenius Adam Schiff to slow his roll for a sec until he can hear from them.
I'll wait here as you try to blame McConnell because Schiff wanted to get his impeachment done riGHt nOw!
Feral wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 3:12 pm
What a crock of shit.
The executive branch obstructs justice on a scale never seen before in our nation's history with the active assistance of the DOJ, but it's Adam Schiff's fault that republicans are too afraid of Trump and too tribal to put our county over their own political ambitions?
Brilliant
Oh, and even tho it has taken 8 months, so far, to try to compel former white house lawyer Don McGahn to respond to a subpoena, which has yet to be appealed to the SCOTUS, we're supposed to blame Schiff for not waiting to impeach Trump until he's finished the process of compelling Bolton to testify?
Sounds reasonable.
Not to mention, that
Trump is/was actively extorting the help of a foreign power with US taxpayer's money to help himself in our next election less than a year from now, but it's Schiff's fault that he won't wait until after the election Trump is trying to rig, to try to stop him? Where TF are our "law and order" republicans when a president is trying to rig our next election? I guess they're too tired after all they did to help Trump obstruct the investigation into how Russia interfered in our last election.
How patriotic of you republicans.
Give me a break.

Ah. But Schumer is.
Settle down.
Impartial jurors have nothing to do with impeachment. How could they? Good lord.

That's not what Vindman said, BTW.
He said that he thought the note-takers missed some things or that they had not been included in the call report for some other reason. He tried to make 3 additions to the report that he thought were important, but they were not added.

We all agree it's wrong to use taxpayer money to bribe a country to help the President personally.
We all agree that is most likely what he did.
We all agree that the WH is blocking those that can turn it from "likely" to "definite" from testifying.
Is that correct?
The right thing to do then is to have everyone testify, Mulvaney, Bolton, Hunter Biden, everyone, and then make a decision. Forcing testimony would need to be expedited because not doing so puts the upcoming election's integrity in question.
That is what the house should have done. I can't understand why they wouldn't go that route - unless there is no mechanism for expediting legal decisions for the sake of national security.

Get a grip.
If you insist on behaving like a three-year-old, I'll treat you like one.
"Impartial jurors" are a RIGHT guaranteed by the Sixth amendment. The idea is to permit you to be tried by those who have no prejudice against (or, presumably, for) you.
It has NOTHING whatsoever to do with impeachment, particularly of a President. And anyone who says that it does is a liar, a moron, or both. Senators, by definition, will be prejudiced one way or the other toward the President. And if you believe otherwise, you are a simpleton. At worst, McConnell had the poor form to say the quiet part out loud.

How many different ways do you think Trump's attorney Bill Barr would attempt to keep them from testifying?

I don't disagree. I'd add Rudy, VPOTUS Biden, Clapper, and Brennan to the list as well.
The point, however, is that McConnell meets the constitutional stipulation for a trial however he damn well pleases. And pissing and moaning about "process" now is kinda high-lariously hypocritically stupid.
