I have seen different variations/variables to this question.
I'm purposely asking it in the manner I am. Not only am I looking for the correct answer, I am looking for the reason/logic in which you came up with your answer.

Mr. Smith had four daughters. Each daughter had four brothers. How many kids does Mr. Smith have?

quick answer is 20

Not the number nor the answer I was looking for.
I can't say there is a definitive "right" or "wrong" answer - especially if I don't know how someone came to the conclusion.
