Which has surprised me. I thought he'd be awesome with Mahomes.

I mean, 2nd most yards of his career.

No doubt he's been fine.
And you take him at that salary again for certain.
But i'm guessing he'll leverage his 'fine' season to a longer/more lucrative contract.

A great piece to have; Kelce has really benefited from having additional threats. Something rarely spoken is that opposing teams have to take seriously the MVS/JuJu/Hardman combination. And with Hardman out, it is nice to have Deebo Toney too.

He's been just fine. He's not a game changing receiver. But he's a great safety net. And he did it for cheap for the Chiefs.
JuJu has been a huge bargain. 24th in the NFL in receiving yards despite being 37th in targets and has been easily the best value WR of anyone not on their rookie contract.

One nice thing is that KC played the first game on Saturday and now play in the last game on Sunday, giving Mahomes the max amount of recovery time possible with no traveling necessary. He will be able to squeeze in as much rehab as possible.

I am predicting he comes up huge (is awesome/a game changer) in either the AFC Championship or the Super Bowl.

I think a healthy Mahomes would be -3.5. I think Mahomes is worth more than 2.5 points as well.
People agree.
Moved to Bengals - 2.

There is a part of this story that will be missed--Mahomes will be more judicious in his throws and the Chiefs will run the ball in creative ways. Good to go into this game a dog. Piss off the the Chiefs.

Petty Mahomes about to make an appearance.

Moved to -2.5.
If it went to 3, i'd hammer that.

Supposedly, Mahomes had a similar injury in 2019 in the opening game.
I remember the following game very well as it was the day after I got hitched.
Mahomes torched the Raiders for 400+ yards and 4 TDs.

Let's hope he does that again.

Interesting (to me).
I realize their teams have different odds to win the SB and they have different QBs and offensive weapons on their teams but I just saw on Twitter that someone got 100-1 on Kittle to win the SB MVP.
I then looked and it seems Kelce is between 16-1 and 25-1.
Maybe I'm nuts (I probably am) but I think if the 9ers play the Chiefs - Kittle will have just as good of a chance as Kelce. If not better. I say that being that Mahomes will probably win if he has a very good game. I don't think Purdy (or Garoppolo) will have nearly as good of a chance to win MVP as Mahomes.

That's not bad reasoning actually.

The reason for such a large difference in odds right now is because Kelce has a better chance to be in and win the super bowl.

If/when KC and SF both win this weekend, then I expect those odds would get closer to each other. Although Kelce will/should have better odds than Kittle for several reasons (he's better, and KC would be favored against SF).

But yes, your reasoning is sound for thinking Kittle and Kelce have more similar chances than the odds if thats the super bowl match-up.

The Bengals are doing a lot of smack talking heading into this game and the Chiefs are hearing every bit of it. I hope KC is able to come out and do their thing this weekend.

He's walking.
I think it'll be different when he's racing for his life when Orlando Brown fails to keep the edge clean.
Hopefully, since he's superhuman, the sprain doesn't affect him much and he can do Mahomes things.
