Yep, I read that today. Why wasn't I surprised that he has a parent who is "off"?
I don't like to judge books by their covers but his father doesn't exactly look like Ward Cleaver to me either.
My next question is, why did his father buy the gun 4 days earlier and why did the kid have it in his possession?
One more question is, if the kid had "concerning behavior" to the point of his parents being brought in to the school BEFORE the shooting - and ALLEGEDLY he posted at least on photo on social media in the very recent past of him holding a gun - and other students felt something was up to the point of staying home from school that day - what if anything could/should the school have done to prevent this?
Yes, I realize hindsight is 20/20 and they couldn't have known for sure he was going to shoot people in school but..... There were warning signs something wasn't right with him.

I thought I read somewhere that he was in some kind of residential care for troubled kids at the time of the shooting. Bad parents. Screw loose. Bullying. Social media. Take your pick as to causes.

An old friend of mine from my days back in Detroit has a daughter who goes to that school and who fortunately had a doctor's appointment that morning and was not in school at the time of the shooting. They knew all of the kids who were killed. The killer was a giant red flag leading up to the incident.

Horrible! Glad to read your friend's daughter is physically ok. I have to imagine mentally she's "hurting".

Clearly you didn't read illy's 5 page meltdown. Has nothing to do with "muh rights", it's all about parenting!

It was a 9mm purchased legally. Yes, the recent oxford Michigan incident is mostly about parenting or lack thereof.

If you weren't so busy in a multi thread meltdown, you would have time to read an article about the incident and educate yourself about the facts. There is a reason the parents are in jail too.

Cool punch line, but not sure what law can stop 2 bad parents from buying a handgun for their mentally unstable 15 year old?

Hey look, an elementary school that closed due to elevated levels of asbestos, which causes cancer.

articles almost 2 years old....

but anyway, wonder what they were doing to cause that....asbestos isn't hazardous unless its airborne, its not airborne unless its disturbed. I perhaps should've read the whole article. Maybe it explained it better.

There's a definite non-zero chance I'll end up with mesothelioma....ive demo'ed a whole lot of asbestos containing material in my life. It used to be in so many products.
