God help the rest of college basketball if KJ can some how develop an outside shot.

I think KJ will play the 4 next year simply because JW will be gone. McCullar likely gone. And Udeh, hopefully, is ready to be our anchor at the 5.

We may be a strangely put together team next year if we don't keep JW KM or GD.

Zuby/Udeh/Zach/???
KJ
KM/MJ?
Bobby/Elmarko?
Dajuan

Lots of question marks.

But let’s save that for the 2023-2024 lineup thread

My early guess at day 1 starting 5 is:

DH
Bobby
MJ
KJ
Udeh

Harris
Rice
Dick
McCullar
Adams

3-peat.

Well if you’re gonna go that route…

NO WAY 5th year senior Jalen would come off the bench!

For real tho, I like the idea of us being good enough with KJ at the 5 that we can keep him there.

But next year, we’ll have at least one legit big off the bench more ready to contribute too

First, this is a honeymoon season.

But, be honest, though, think of Bill's past teams and then think of this team where these guys are starting and have huge roles: Harris, McCullar, and Adams.

And it's not like the bench is any good either. Honeymoon season.

Yeah, the season after a title is whatever.

But if we're gonna lose, I'd prefer that Bill put the big fella out there. The rebounding is a joke and KJ can barely finish games because of the work he's having to put in out of position (he's a wing).

I was really excited about KM but JFC you can't have him and Harris out there together for that long.

I think overall that McCullar has been fine this season, but we needed him AND one more transfer. Garrett looked a lot better in 2020 than 2021.

We only have 1 real, long term, NBA player on this team.

I agree with hasbeen, put the big fella out there.....but gosh does he look bad and completely throw off our entire team when he's out there.

Udeh is one of the most lost frosh bigs I've seen here.

But, as discussed last week, you gotta have someone ready to go.

I think if you actually threw him out there and let him go that he'd foul out within the first 15min of the game.

He absolutely looks lost but you need to see what you have for next year. It's also possible he looks lost because he plays 2 minutes and gets pulled. I know Bill has a quick pull with all freshman and this isn't new, but we've gotten punked in each loss this year. We've tried quickness, let's try some size now.

No question. I want to see Udeh, Yesufu, and Rice on Saturday. We don't have the maybe-Remy-will-come-back this time around. See what we've got. This lineup and offense isn't going to take us far.

Miss me with Yesufu.
We know what he can do.

But Rice and Udeh, yes.

Bobby is the only one who actually attacks the rim to score of him, Harris, Yesufu. Let’s give him more than 5 minutes and see if he can help the offense.

Bobby isn’t any better than Yes at this point.

They both are equally meh.

Bobby just seems like a worse Dajuan to me.

I am by no means on the Yesufu train, it's just more of an indictment on Harris--he plays too much. We haven't really seen Yesufu at the 1 yet this year. IDK, he just seems a little more basketball player than Bobby, but I understand it feels like throwing different shit at the wall.

Yeah, looking at his stats, he’s played a lot more minutes and done a lot more nothing than I thought. He’s shown flashes of getting to the rim but also had games with 20 minutes of playing time and 0 points, 0 shot attempts, 0 assists to show for it.

Bobby doesn’t shoot.
Yes shoots and misses.
