On Third Down, I call timeout with 11,seconds in case there is a muffed hold or run off penalty. Andy has big onions

The doink for the division
All three home games against AFC West opponents were wins by two points and consisted of the following doinks:
1) KC bum rushes some poor schlep and blocks Denver's makeable game winning field goal. Doink. KC wins 16-14.
2) The Raiders doink a botched snap one play prior to what would have been a game winning field goal attempt. KC wins 19-17.
3) KC's third kicker of the year doinks his 4th field goal of the game through the uprights. KC wins 19-17.
Some will say that a field goal banking off the upright and still going through the upright shows that KC is the luckiest team ever. I counter that argument by pointing out that it is insanely UNLUCKY that KC has to rely on their third kicker of the season. Oh, and KC's third left tackle of the season looks like he might have pulled a hamstring.
So lucky.

Injuries are just crazy. What tremendous coaching and discipline to overcome these challenges. Get Donovan Smith back. Run no huddle. Stop giving slot receivers cushion. Rest who you can during the 10 days of Hell.

We lost our 2 best WRs for essentially the entire season.
( can you imagine if we had Rashee AND Hopkins )
We lost our 2nd cornerback( with a big drop here ) for most of the season.
We lost our best RB for a large part of the season.
Our OLine has been banged up.
So yea, two coach does have a point there.
Probably one of the more unlucky teams regarding injury…9ers kind of take the cake though.

Yes.
A strange combo of lucky and unlucky all at the same time.

I love Reid’s reaction in real time right after the kick. Even he was like, wtf is going on here? For real.

They had to. Fans from Columbia were just getting in from there fresh storming of the court. Inertia sucks sometimes.

By recording 45 receiving yards on five catches, the 35-year-old became the fastest tight end to reach 12,000 receiving yards in NFL history.
Kelce did it in 172 games, surpassing Tony Gonzalez who set the previous record with 210 outings.

Tony is just over 15k receiving yards.
I don't think Travis gets there.
I'd say, at best, we see him next season.

Didn't realize Gonzales was that far ahead in total yards.

Tony was 21 in his first NFL season with the Chiefs.
Travis was 23.
So you loose some years there. And then Tony played until he was 39 - Travis is 35 - I don't see 4 more years out of Travis.

Thanks for the details.
I don't see 4 more years out of Travis, either. Darn it.

I wish the Chiefs had gotten him at least to a Super Bowl.
That game v the Colts in 03 where there weren’t punts but Priest Holmes fumbled it was probably his best chance ( I mean, sans 97 when Schottenheimer picked Gannon over Grbac but he was a rookie ).

That was the OPI game by Tony. 14-point swing on a bad call.
