is this new? the word first thing this morning was that the team would be allowed to compete, just not as “russia”…just like the olympics. but, there was already a bit of outrage over that decision

By the way Gio is back for Dortmund and he dropped a beauty of a free kick for an assist today.

Roster announced for final 3 games tomorrow. Would imagine Gio is going to get the call, if just nothing else but to be a sub in late game situations.

I like reading Matt Doyle on mlssoccer.com and his latest column raises an interesting point. Would you roll out your B team to start the Mexico match, then swap in a few starters around the 60th minute just to get them some run and results be damned and focus on having them healthy for the Panama and Costa Rica matches to get the 4 points we need? Squad rotation is going to be huge. These 3-match windows suck. Basically comes down to this: 4 points = automatic qualification, 3 points = can't finish worse than 4th. 4th place gets you into a playoff match in Qatar later this year vs. a team from the Oceania region.

Yeah, so the real number is something close to 20,000.

It was a human rights nightmare from day 1. Both sad and pathetic but it looks like that era of FIFA is finally over.

Kind of hoping Djordje Mihailovic gets a shot this window.

Someone posted a thread of an interview with Brooks. He admits his form was terrible. But he’s improved for his club and was hopeful for a call up this window. But putting sights on WC.

Really sucks that Dest is out with a hamstring injury.

Bello is a solid replacement but he's more of a LB than a RB. Would have liked to have seen either Bryan Reynolds or Joe Scally get a look.

Although adding a LB might make more sense because RB's Yedlin (yuck) and Cannon are already on the roster.

Well, this sucks. Really like Aaronson’s style. Like McKennie, he’s tough to replace.
