Is this what a 5* gta chase looks like in real life?

Poor CnB.
This can be my retort for all of your bitter posts for the next year ( multiple years? ) on all things NFL.

Yes, I am unique, more knowledgeable than most, etc.
Yikes.
I am a bit eccentric, but pleasant. If you met me, you would enjoy my company.

So what are everyone’s thoughts on a Chris Jones deal? I love the dude and think his talent is as elite as it gets for his position but I just don’t think the chiefs can afford to keep him. For the long term it feels like it might be better to tag and trade. Chiefs have next to no cap space next year. They will probably either cut or restructure Watkins and get a little more but when Mahomes gets paid things are gonna get pretty tight and it feels like getting some extra draft capital is going to be important.

I've read over the last several days that whatever Mahomes' deal, it won't take effect for cap purposes until after the end of next season (meaning, at the expiration of the base term of his rookie deal).

In that regard, I think it's feasible to tag Jones and keep him around for a year.

After that - I'd love for it to work out for him to stay. If he wants to chase his full worth, mazel tov but it won't be here.

Yeah I read the same. Hopefully the QB cap number makes the CBA. The kinda deals being talked about right now are going to be a ridiculous percentage of the total cap. That’s going to make repeats awfully difficult no matter how good he is.

Tag and trade.
If no trade works out, you still get a comp pick I believe.

Next year I think, yes. I think the tough part would be turning down a 2 or better (a 3 and a 4/5?) now, and getting to deploy the money now while you can, while giving those picks a year to develop.

Right.
But if Chris Jones is on board for another year tagged and you are midseason leading the AFC, do you even listen to offers or just take the hit on picks knowing the difference he could make.

I think if you don't deal him before the draft (and get picks this year), you hold onto him for the season.

Unless, you know, Pat pops an ACL prior to the deadline next year and it's a lost year. In that case, you firesale the hell out of everything that isn't bolted down and take the opportunity to retool for 2021 and beyond.

They can still be good people, of course, but you are a sum of all of your parts, and that's a strike for me.
I'd rather hang with a guy who'll eat/drink whatever is on the menu and not complain than someone who asks the waiter if they have a separate gluten free oven.

I know i'm not 'hanging out' with either of Brady or Mahomes but if we're asking about likeability, I keep that in mind, who would you want to watch a football game with at a bar more?

Andy Reid or Bill Belichick?
Patrick Maohomes or Tom Brady?
I don't disagree with you. I was just stating that there is some value in Brady's diet. Do I think everyone should strive to follow his diet? Absolutely not. Do I think there would be some benefit if people researched foods that cause inflammation? Definitely. We tend to think and function better throughout the day if we avoid foods that contain sugar and cause inflammation. Would I give up eating bread or an occasional cookie to have no inflammation? It's not worth it to me. Have some bad things in moderation, and I ain't talking about the avocado ice cream. I hate avocados anyway.
