I am very far from celebrating TGF's departure.
He definitely has a chance to develop into a pro, and we could have very few, perhaps none of those in the next 2-3 years.

But I feel good about that, because you keep assuring us that it is in our best interest to drag the investigation out as long as we possibly can.

Not worried about TGF. He needs to go somewhere he can play through his mistakes. He's way too raw to do that here.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say, per usual.
No news is better than bad news, and the wind on amateurism is blowing against you. I'd like to not have a 3 year postseason ban and a show cause for Bill, but you may not agree.

I'm sorry, but i just have a hard time believing that he's an NBA player. Just don't see it.
If Wayne Selden couldn't be an NBA player then there isn't a chance in hell TGF can. TGF couldn't even impact games on an average Kansas team.

None of that matters. He is already well known to NBA scouts.
As for KU, I wouldn't mind having a guy like that available rather than the Wichita and Kansas City high school all star teams.

I don't necessarily think he's an NBA player but this comes a few days after Bill discussed needing some athleticism to combat the length in the NCAA tournament. I don't think TGF has Wiggins or even Vick athleticism, but he was one of the few with legit bounce.
I'm just going to assume this is the first step in a series of moves to get the roster where Bill wants next season.

Seems like injuries and a lack of a 'preseason' really hurt TGF chances of really making an impact. That and after Braun, Och, and MG minutes were very, very scarce.
I'm drawing a blank but what juco kid has come to KU and had instant 'success'?

If you say so. I think kansas fans might be the only ones who truly believe that after this year.
I'd bet he wouldn't crack the top 150 of anyone's draft board right now. Not after how he looked this season. Any of that unknown potential upside they saw likely vanished when they saw how bad he looked against D1 players.
His "upside" out of JUCO was because of his size and athletic ability...unfortunately he isn't very good at basketball, which is what really matters in the end.

It's not going to be very fun if/when Enaruna is the next to announce.

Believe what? That NBA scouts know who he is?
Do you think the scouts were in Ottumwa, IA for the games that were played last year for the food scene?

If the rumors of 3 more transfers comes to fruition, I further question why Bill breathed life into the whole "investigation is killing our recruiting" talk.

it’s funny to me, how different the various fan narratives are for TGF, Enaruna and Grimes

Who are the 3 more?
Enaruna, Jossell and Muscadin?

Yes. But, of course, who knows.
Really hope not.

Those are the only 3 I can think of. Jossell and Muscadin I take that as if Teahan said he wasn't coming back.

Do not stress about it. I have been assured that the longer the investigation drags on, the better it is for the program.
