My buddy's dad was in the army during WWII. He was one of the 1st people in to some of the camps cuz he spoke Polish.

I have to think that he'll want to have it removed, which means a wound the width and length of the word, and a skin graft. Which means he'll be dealing with the "repair" for months, and the scar(s) for the rest of his life.
