Yeah. Think he's coming this weekend. Rivals has him as like 54th in the country. We are pretty shallow at WR after Grimm and Arnold.

Kansas has landed five new commitments this week following the Jayhawks' first official visit weekend. Michael Swain and Kevin Flaherty are here to break it all down.

Kansas coach Lance Leipold and his staff are continuing their program-changing efforts in the offseason, putting together a strong 2024 recruiting class that on Tuesday received a potentially historic commitment for Jayhawks football. Four-star defensive end Dakyus Brinkley committed to Kansas on the Fourth of July, choosing the Jayhawks while also holding offers from 11 other Power Five schools including Baylor, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Texas and Texas A&M.

Brinkley's current 247Sports Composite rating of 0.9114 is the highest all-time among Kansas signees in the internet recruiting services era began (2002), and if he does goes on to sign with the Jayhawks during the early signing period in December, he'll beat out Pooka Williams Jr. (0.9055) and Corione Harris (0.9052) for that honor.

Unless he's a top 5 QB in CFB, he'll likely be back. And he'll be a perfect mentor for Marshall, the borderline 3/4 star dual-threat QB from Michigan.

This year should be fun. 17 of 22 starters returning. All coaches are back. A really good recruiting class in the works. A decent schedule with some fun home games like Illinois, BYU, UCF, OU, Tech and kstate.

And we have 5 players on the preseason All-Big 12 team. KU maybe had 5 total in the last decade. A top half predicted finish.

Gotta have a good season for a few reasons, one being to keep that 2024 recruiting class intact.
