The timeout before the 2:00 was a bad move. If you wait, we could have saved 40 seconds here.

Microcosm of play calling all night right there.

Our first drive of the 4th quarter was the killer. 1st down on the 35 with a 3 point lead: 7 yard run. Then back to back long, incomplete passes. Take a total of 1:08 off the clock and punt.

My god Daniels, throw that out of bounds. Wasted 5 seconds to run 4 yards.
This whole drive was amateur hour. The new OC doesn’t understand the game and hasn’t prepared the offense.

Welp, so much for a magical season. Daniels looks like ass and play calling needs major correction.

I blame Grimes first, Daniels second.

Devin Neal should pissed more than anyone. He’s touched the ball 22 times for 220 yards this season. An OC with a half a brain would be getting him that per game right now.
Edit to say Neal and Hishaw combined have 38 rushes for 330 yards in 3 halves. Daniels threw 32 times for 141 and 3 picks today.

It's a long season. Wake up call for Daniels. Love the swagger, but you've got to back it up. He needs to get back into game shape focus and execution wise.
The new OC is, well, new. His first big game too. And he sucked. We should be a run first team.

Pissed it away today. Grimes really blew it. But Kansas was the better team. Road game sellout crowd. More poise, better play calling and Kansas does win by 10. I think Jalen was dinged up on the early run and on the roughing play. He lacked arm strength all night

For sure, which means 2 things:
1) Quit making every throw 30+ yards across the field for a freakin WR screen and
2) He wasn’t getting the last ball to the end zone if he didn’t get it knocked out.

Yeah. WE could see that we were hyper scouted. They could not stop Dev or Hishaw. Daniels was not right physically. Grimes could not see or understand. He is not gifted enough for this talent. Lance will be callingthe plays eventually. Hopefully next week

Amen Sparko; Daniel’s eyeing down primary receiver’s and throws. Why not look for possibly a TE Drag across the middle (if they have that play) or a back on banana route flair.. Illinois secondary was good but made to look great with no check downs by Daniel’s.
Also
2-secondary hardly if ever checking back on the ball in coverage.
Time to look at film and deflate a few ego’s and be spittin nails next week

That sure seemed to be some perplexing offensive playcalling. Can anyone confirm this?
Gutter side didn’t see you unless that was you with the guy I fist bumped. You didn’t look like I remembered if that was you. Safe travels back wherever you’re going tonight, man.
