New York musicals about failed New York musicals seem to do well.

Obviously there's a huge market for navel-gazing. I just don't personally find the meta commentary all that entertaining. Has a Globetrotters-y uncanny valley-ness to it, for me.

Some of the best movies ever are Hollywood movies about Hollywood.

As long as you aren't including The Artist, then fine, there are several good ones.

does The Big Lebowski count as a Hollywood movie about Hollywood?
well, North Hollywood, to be specific
...on Radford Street...near the In-N-Out Burger...

Dude missed a Caribbean vacation by a letter.
Guessed "Island On The Caribbean" instead of "Island In The Caribbean".

Checked out The Daily Show tonight. Jon Stewart made an appearance for... absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Started watching The Power with Mrs 99. I may get sucked into that one. The scene in Saudi Arabia was pretty intense.

I had a strong feeling this would come this season but even with that, still delivered an expected uppercut while the guard was down.

I thought it was brilliantly done. Never showing any of the "action", letting the actors do the work. Capturing the fog of war.

Mrs. 99 and I watched "Black Legion" with Bogey last night. Good movie and unfortunately, still topical.

I never watched it either. Really enjoyed Better Call Saul, though.

That's been the only show the wife and I have watched the last couple years. We just finished season 4. It's incredible. Best show I have ever seen.
The use of symbolism and camera angles and lighting is so incredibly engaging. Or you can just relax and enjoy the show... but it won't be nearly as fun.
