Mahomes missed a lot of throws but still came through.

This kind of game goes a long way to team morale at the right time.

One thing that'll bite us I think is the reluctancy/inability to run.

Cant count on the weather working out. The Pats unfortunately have the right build for that.

I felt like Gore should have gotten some touches on the run game. But man, hit and miss by both teams. Mahomes out of the pocket is the secret sauce. Can see the whole field

Just thankful for being a fan of the most entertaining team to watch in the NFL.

Herbert for the game: 236 yards, 16 rush yards, 2 TDs, 1INT

Mahomes in the 4th quarter and OT: 203 yards, 32 rush yards, 3 TDs, 0 INT

A bunch of those yards were Kelce after a catch.

Yeah, have to give Kelce a lot of credit for last nights win. Stellar performance

Forcing the ball to Kelce or Hill presents most of Mahomes problems missing open routes. But you can see why. What a game.

Weird stat of the day: Justin Herbert has never won a game where he scores a rushing TD and throws an INT.

Mahomes is at his best when he is in shotgun empty or one back sets. Get the edge rushers moving up field which allows him to step up in the pocket or kick out the back door.
That was about as tough of a win when it mattered the most that I can remember in a long time.

I'll admit, with the quality of defensive players we had out last night, I went into that game thinking our winning streak was over. That's a gutsy performance. Even the defense still played well, all things considered. 2 game lead in the division at this point in the year is big time.

Another crucial aspect of last nights win is that the Chiefs get 9 days to prepare for a home game against Pittsburgh. Win that game and the division is nearly locked up.

Sucks playing the Thursday night game but you do almost get a mini bye.
We would be singing an entirely different story had they lost but Jones, Gay, Sneed and Gordon got a nice rest week they might not have normally got.

Can we revisit Joe Buck being a moran again?
Dude is spasming, being carted off the field.
"It's cold in LA."

I'm generally in the camp that Joe Buck is not nearly as bad as people like to make him out to be, but that last night was brutally bad.

As bad as the injury was, it was made even worse by the cameraman running up and sticking the camera in the knocked out dood’s face

With such a small sample size (just 8 games with a rushing TD, lost all three of those in which he also threw an INT) you could cook up a lot of combinations.

Justin Herbert has never won a game where he scores a rushing TD and throws for less than 300 yards.

Here's my weird stat of the day:
The Chargers are also now just 4-13 in games where Herbert throws an INT and 10-2 in games where he did not throw an INT. They are very reliant on him having a clean game.

The Chiefs for comparison are 20-8 in games where Mahomes throws at least 1 INT (that's insane) and 28-4 in games where he did not throw an INT.

I'm in NYC for work. Did not skip the game for Wicked. Client took me to a rugby bar, and had all the rugby bros cheering for Chiefs. Great time.

Justin Herbert: the more I learn the more I don't know.

Paraphrase of what he meant.

Yeah, Joe Buck was warming up to introduce Herbert into the Hall of Fame in an emergency ceremony on Christmas Day
