parsing the wording, it sounds like they are banning the travel for athletic purposes. Meaning tourney can come to us, or we can get an exception to our own rule for the tourney if we determine it's safe.

If all activities are cancelled will the players go home or stay in Lawrence?

KU clarified that it has still not withdrawn from the NCAA yet.

I think this is our best hope of seeing a 2019-20 crowned.

So what about the automatic bids then? Just give the automatic bids to the regular season champs?

As stated before, the league can do what they want. Ivy was the first to cancel, and they gave it to Yale, the regular season champs.

It also looks like the ACC gave Florida State the championship even though their champion is technically crowned by winning the ACC tournament.

The way it should be.

Kind of bizarre that I keep seeing reporters sticking microphones in the faces of athletes asking them about the virus and how it's affecting them. Ummm. Leagues are cancelling and postponing events and yet reporters and their entities as well as the athletes are clearly not being pro-active. Or am I overthinking this? Never-mind. I know the answer.

How about Dayton. Best season ever? And they may not be able to play in the tournament. Saw something on twitter that compared them to the Montreal Expos in 1994. Clearly they were the best team in baseball, then baseball went on strike and they didn't get a chance for a WS.

On a more serious note. FS1, ESPN, CBS Sports, etc are all going to struggle big time. Sports are going to be shut down for a month at the minimum. They won't have anything to show, anything to talk about and nobody will watch them.

All those channels are owned by massive conglomerates. Worry about smaller media channels, even newspapers. Especially magazines (ones that are left). Many smaller news outlets make quite a bit on their sports coverage, hence a large focus on them.

I feel for Udoka.
Dude was set for a helluva run in March and April.
And he can't come back to Kansas.

He posted a picture on one of his social things.

Said "I'm the only player to play all 4 years and never play in Big 12 tournament" He only got 1 NCAA tournament as well.

I feel so bad for him. We've seen the last of Dotson and Udoka in Kansas uniforms. At least we saw them at Tech when they went off to seal the deal.

Udoka could come back, but won't.

Just wild that he never played in Big 12 Tourney.

Yeah, first time he's been healthy.

I feel terrible for him.
