Which is all well and good, but we’re slow-walking toward a redux of 2016, with Biden’s age being BUT HER EMAILS.

uncle joe's age should be an issue in 24.

I mean, it's an election for President. Everything material should be an issue.

But if the candidates are Biden and Trump, then at worst (for Biden) the substance of this issue is a draw.

Age is close. But ability to finish a full sentence gives trump a huge edge

I do wonder if the networks will change course a little, after Trump just flooded the zone with shit on Meet The Press. Perhaps the table stakes for network airtime is an unqualified, no bullshit admission that he lost in 2020.
I, for one, am at least a tad concerned Biden might do a less effective job of appealing to the rust belt, and labor.

Think Hillary Wisconsin ‘16 vibes.

But I hope I’m wrong

It’s a draw on an otherwise materially level playing field, yea.

But the thing about Trumpers is they couldn’t care less about anything material, and are likely gonna vote for Trump no matter what.

If any critical mass of otherwise-liberal-leaning voters display any material concern about re-electing a kooky old geriatric, buckle up.

The edge goes to the idiot that claimed the US did a great job of defending the airports from the British?

Or, that we should shove lightbulbs up our asses and drink bleach?

Or, more recently, that Biden is leading us into WW2?

THAT guy is your example of peak cognitive performance?

Nah, that guy is a travesty and a morbidly obese disease unleashed like a scurvy on vitamin C deficient ships sailing across the heartland.

The shame is that the dems can't put anyone forth that is better than Joe Biden. If they would, they could seize voters in droves and likely never look back from the dominant position (at least in my lifetime).

Which democrat not named Biden do you think could beat Trump?

That’s the issue.

If only Mayor Pete were straight

I think Pete would slaughter trump. Though I have no idea what he's done as transportation chief or whatever the title is other than be "in charge" during three of the worst train disasters of modern times. Not saying that's his fault, but it would be used against him and heavily. I like Pete though.

I think pretty much anybody would, really.

Kamala maybe not, Biden might actually stumble enough to make it tighter than it should be.

Trump is a disaster and somehow DeSantis might be worse.

I'm beginning to think nobody actually wants the job. Pathetic candidates all around.

A very good reason for that may be because Pete is probably smarter than the majority of all current politicians.

I would vote for Pete over any current candidate.
What would you (Overlander and/or anyone else reading this) guess the percentage is of American voters who would NOT vote for him because he is gay - as a primary reason for not voting for him?

If you think Pete would be good, I’m guessing you haven’t had to fly anywhere in the last three years.

I'm curious, what exactly are you blaming Buttigieg for in regards to YOUR airline travel?

Ok, let me try and be more clear with my question.
What exactly happened to YOU and why do you feel HE is at fault?

I haven't flown anywhere in the past 11 years. Flying been shit for 22 years.

I've spent hours sitting in airports waiting for pilots to show up so the plane can leave. I've spent hours sitting on runways because flights are backed up. I've missed connecting flights because airlines don't care about being on time.

All of these problems are because airlines are allowed to schedule more flights than they are capable of reasonably staffing and because there are not enough air traffic controllers to keep airports running smoothly. It is a DOT oversight issue, and Mayor Pete has done next to nothing to address it.
