Mahomes has a "high ankle sprain". There's such a spectrum of severities who knows how long it might be, 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, longer, for him to come back? Only time will tell.
I'll take the over it hurts more tomorrow morning than it did today.
I feel awful for saying this because there is no doubt how good Mahomes is but I honestly feel like he’s been a big part of the issue with the offense. He missed so many receivers against the browns and had wide open looks but then chose to overthrow the deep guy by 10 yards instead. The one that really comes to mind is the throw to Watson who was double covered when worthy was open on the crosser for the first down and probably more. I honestly wouldn’t mind seeing Wentz next week. Let Mahomes heal up. Maybe he can do some light footwork stuff and get back to good Mahomes.

Any version of Mahomes is better than Carson Wentz.

I agree, Mahomes isn't at the top of his game, which still makes him better than at least 80% of the other NFL quarterbacks...but how about Josh Allen?
Previously we assumed Mahomes' problem was the lack of pass protection and less time for his receivers to get open and for him to throw the ball, but as you point out, he wasn't at the top of his game yesterday, despite having a lot of time to throw, finally.

Winds were gusting at 30 mph.
That played a factor for both quarterbacks.

Let's hope that was why.

Josh Allen is playing like a man possessed.
Both he, Lamar and Burrow look to be in a different category than the rest of the league this season.
I still think Mahomes and co will turn it up a notch come playoffs.

We're counting on it.
Because, like I always say, when you have Mahomes at QB, you never feel completely out of a game. He's that good.

buffalo can score, but this is now two straight weeks that they’ve given up big chunks of points…not a good formula, imo

It has definitely been his worst season as a starter. His accuracy when not pressured has not been up to his typical level.

Think about that, a 13-1 team turning it up a notch. To this point, this season has been magic. I don't know how they are doing it or what will happen next. I am just enjoying the ride.

By Mahomes and co, I mean the offense.
We are 14th in total offense - the worst since 2016.
Our defense is still legit ( though attacking our second corner for chunk yards looks a bit worrisome ).

Yeah, it's pretty crazy to say that a 13-1 team is still far from their ceiling but it appears to be the case with KC this year. Still trying to get their OL together, getting Pacheco back up to speed, getting Hopkins more reps with Mahomes and Kelce and they may still add Hollywood Brown to the mix soon. Crazy year.

Mahomes high ankle sprain.
Not looking good for the 3 games in 10 days stretch.
Insane.
What?
He's on a 7th round contract so 40k is not nothing.
I'm pretty sure the fine was more than his after-tax game check.
Some of these fines like this are criminal and I don't understand why the NFLPA doesn't appeal more of them. That is a complete garbage fine that has no business being called. Pacheco did absolutely nothing wrong there. The NFL is simply stealing from players.
