That was great

Any group you're in with Portugal or Qatar is a win. Wouldn't mind Spain or Brazil.

Want to avoid England, Argentina, France and Belgium.

Something I'd like to see if they go with more frequent World Cups is rotating host sites and no autobids for host countries.

Although the latter is great for the US in 2026.

Although it's unfair, I like the autobid.
I just don't think the autobid should be in pot one.
They should be a normal qualifier, ordered by FIFA rank ( or however they decide to do it that cup ).

Correct. If I'm a Pot 1 team and I have Germany in Pot 2 because Qatar gets an auto Pot 1, I'm pissed.

Yeah, that's a joke.

Even without getting into the whole host country bribe/corruption shenanigans.

World Cup should actually be going on, in the USA, in a couple months.
Not the winter in fucking Qatar.

Mexico in Argentina's group is electric.

The Pot 1 process took entirely too long.

Correction, this whole broadcast is taking entirely too long.

England was kind of middle of the road to me as far as seeded teams could go. Not as favorable as Qatar and Portugal, but better than Brazil or France.

Yeah and similar playing styles. Aggressive fullbacks. They just have a difference maker at the 9 spot.

England and Iran so far. Decent draw for US.

So far, pretty good draw, not the totally best-case scenario, but pretty favorable.
