Maybe. Probably?
I think valid arguments can/should be made for both guys.
Gilgeous- Alexander is having a heck of a season too.
All that being said, a healthy Embiid would get my vote.

Speaking of good. Is Luka the best player in the NBA today?
For me, he is the funnest player to watch.

Jokic is a slow burn.
It’s not explosive it just happens.

Nugs at Lakers tonight
Lebron 9 points away from surpassing 40,000
also think I saw he's only scored 9 or fewer points 9 times in his entire career

Now only 4 points to go.
Do they stop the game again to give bronbron another attention fest?

You seem to be giving him plenty of attention on this messageboard.
Why shouldn't they?

A kid who has a heart condition, shoots 37% FG, 27.5% 3pt, 62.1% FT, and averages 5 points a game, is probably going to get drafted. Because.... The world is a fucked up place and his last name is James.
A kid who didn't have a heart condition, shot 45.7% FG, 38.5% 3pt, 83.8% FT, averaged 18.2 points per game, AND WAS A FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN, didn't get drafted. Because.... The world is a fucked up place and his last name isn't James.

LeBron James scoring recap:
Pts 0 - 10,000 in 368 games
Pts 10,001 - 20,000 in 358 games
Pts 20,001 - 30,000 in 381 games
Pts 30,001 - 40,000 in 368 games
No wonder Jason Whitlock says he's on steroids.

I can all but promise that there are more players in the NBA who take / have taken PEDs (steroids and other drugs) than have tested positive for them.
I wouldn't be at all shocked if LeBron was one of them but.... The guy is a workout fiend and takes great care of himself.

A lightbulb went ON in my head.
This morning I read someone basically say that people are wrong to feel Jordan is better than LeBron.
This was my response.
Define "better", and "better" at what specifically?
Also, there is a difference between the words is and was.
I "think" Jordan was "better" at helping his team win games. That's the most important role of a basketball player to me.
That's not to say I feel LeBron may not be the goat. As I have said too many times, I have no problem with those who feel he is.
P.S. I just thought about this. LeBron could have chosen to play on the Bools with Rose, Noah, Deng, and DWade. Would those 5 collectively (with Lebron) have been better than any 5 collectively (with Jordan) that Jordan played with? That's tough call for me.

I
think LeBron was better at this.
Jordan was the best at completely taking over a game himself.
LeBron is/was the best as a complete player.
Jordan played on talent rich teams when he won his titles, teams that, if you removed Jordan, would be competitive in the league at the time.
LeBron spent a lot of his career on teams who, if you removed LeBron, would have loosing records.
This is why I think LeBron was better at helping his team win games.
I also
think the league has gotten better from top to bottom since Jordan played and don't believe a lot of the teams back then would be very good today.
But mostly I try to judge a player by their era ( mostly ) so in this case, Jordan is still 1A to LeBron's very close 1B.
