The one that I don't want to get away is N'Faly Dante. He is still in the 2020 class starting his Senior Year at Sunrise in Wichita. But he is visiting Kentucky this weekend and Cal wants him to reclassify to 2019 and start UK in the fall.
From everything I have heard he will not end up at KU. Sunrise hates KU.
Is "everything you have heard" that he goes to Sunrise"?

No, LSU and Oregon seem to be the front runners and they are also Nike. I would love to have him but people should not pin their hopes on him coming to KU.

My KY friends already think they have him. But they're KY fans, so...
Rupp was sure Blackshear was heading to Lexington too.

That's a huge pick-up for Florida. That guy's so fun to watch.

Jayhawks offer hoops scholarship to former Missouri State signee Dajuan Harris

Dajuan Harris, a 6-foot-1 point guard who helped lead Columbia’s Rock Bridge High School to Missouri’s Class 5 state championship last season, has received a basketball scholarship offer from Kansas, he reported Tuesday on Twitter.

So, McBride isn't very good?

You can't please everyone I guess.
It used to be 4s - at this point, if Bill and crew see a late-rising small guard, I'm all in. That has worked out very nicely for us in recent years.

We will need another PG for 2021, it does just seem that this is a similar prospect to McBride. Agree, though, that McBride wasn't a late-riser like this guy seems to be.

It's got nothing to do with how good McBride is or isn't. Realistic expectation is Dotson is gone after this year. McBride could be the best PG in the country in 20-21, but you're still going to want/need a 2nd PG on the team.
If they offered a center would that mean McCormack sucks and the new guy is supposed to take his spot?

That's not an apples-to-apples comparison, but I did state that we need another PG for 2021.

Harris was in the class of 2019...he reclassified into 2020. We will need another PG in 2020. I think he is spending the year at Sunrise...let him bond with the 5* big - N'Faly Dante

It's a weird situation with Self as the HC
He WANTS to play 2 PGs together as much as possible.
He SAYS he wants whoever gets it to go and initiate offense.
In PRACTICE it doesn't seem to matter if he has 2 PGs he's gonna ride one as the primary for 35+ mpg (see Graham/Mason)
I mean, if you're a recruit, it comes down to whether you believe what Self says or you believe his history of how he coaches. What he says makes it seem like he'd need/want 3 PGs on the roster who'd all play a ton, in practice one PG gets 38 minutes on the ball every game.
What he seems to want is a stud PG and a ball-handling capable combo guard at the 2. So, if this kid (or any) is a PG who can play the 2, this is a great situation to come into. (Chalmers, Collins, Graham, etc.)

It seems Self likes to have two guys he can play regularly that are really good ball handlers. Ochai is not that, if he's still around after this year. Garrett probably is. Dotson's probably gone at end of year. So we need more ball handling. It's not a statement against McBride.

Seems there is an unspoken assumption that we’re not also recruiting blue chip PG’s. Why?

Are there any blue chip PGs available?

I think it's moreso just not assuming we will get one of those.
