I feel bad for him. Not at all his fault the Chiefs lost. If he was on TB tonight he would have a 2nd ring.
I feel there is no QB in the league that is more valuable than he is - and of course that includes Rodgers and Brady.
Brady beat Brees, Rodgers and Mabomes this postseason.

Was smart of Tom to join a stacked squad.
He wasn't gonna win with the Pats this year .
Reminds me of another guy many people love to hate for switching teams to win a title.

Mahomes gets at least 3, which is outrageously good.

Mahomes will get his again--I hope. But he got zero help or protection, and that worries me. Really, it was just odd how much heaven and earth was moved to ensure TB would win this year. I am frustrated that the refs literally mooted the game in any event--it was the worst called NFL game since the Forward Progress game. There was no excuse for that. THey didn't even protect players. Suh laid the forearm on Mahomes neck and probably should have been ejected.
And never allow a home super bowl again. That was bullshit. Most colder cities are not even able to compete for one, so why in the Hell bequeath that to a city that has a team in the tournament? It should always be at a neutral site. They were pumping in loud crowd noise all night for God's sake. KC had to travel twice to play a team they won't see again for four years in all likelihood. Just crazy.

I don't understand. Why would the nfl WANT tampa to win? I thought Goodell hated Brady?
Wouldn't you want your new cash cow to win? What's the motivation for this conspiracy theory?

I hadn't given them a second thought until they became the SB favorite last Spring. And then you looked at the lineup and damn. Gronk as a third option. The were going all out for the ring as they hosted this. Felt inevitable all year. Even Romo called it after they lost to the Chiefs.

I'm not Sparko conspiracy but I do think the officials just had as bad a game as the Chiefs did.
And feel justified that the officials had a poor game from talk at halftime and by Romo...and generally the talk on social media. It happens, refs have bad outings.
I'd say the biggest issue was our busted OLine v their nasty D pressure. But the second was the officiating swings.

Shouldn't every franchise go all out to win the title?

Yes--this just seemed like they were allowed to stack the deck. Not often do you see so many key moves in a "meh" franchise. On paper, they were the best team without injuries. On the field they were too. Just a weird coda to the COVID season. Hope this isn't the template for the rest of the decade. Baseball vibe.

Where did you see that they were pumping in crowd noise? I haven't heard that....I knew they weren't allowed to fire their cannon, so I'm surprised they were allowed to pump crowd noise.

On the First time out, Mahomes couldn't hear. . . The noise was loud even on TV. Of course, it could have been the random healthcare folks.

I’m not sure if I’ll want to watch this game ever again but I don’t believe crowd noise made a difference or not. I don’t believe the Chiefs had a false start penalty other than Reek taking off early.
It simply came down to the Bucs scheme was better than the Chiefs scheme. Penalties did them zero favors but that had nothing to do with the fact the offense did NOTHING against the Bucs D.

We beat em a couple months ago with a healthier line.
I don't think the score represents the difference between the teams. The officials gave the Bucs 10 points. But they still were the better team tonight.

I agree--it did matter going into the Chief's side though. Disappointing that the league's best record got us a road game for the big one. Weird year--it was not fan friendly. Chiefs fans generally travel well. I think the noise would have really mattered more in non-COVID year, of course. But a neutral venue in a one-game championship should be the expectation.

Yes. Mahomes is now the NFL's big moneymaker.

Agreed. It was just a poorly called game. Brady winning is no more beneficial to the NFL than Mahomes winning.

It was that the Bucs defensive front was better by a fa tor of ten than the Chiefs offensive line. KC didnt even have a chance to run their scheme. Play after play was blown up and turned into a mad scramble.

You could definitely tell which team was able to protect their QB.
THAT was the difference in this game

Right.
Our patchwork oline cost us...but you also look at Frank Clark and Chris Jones earning those big contracts and them do nothing.

Yes, you would have to figure out who snaps the ball. But that’s a decent-to-good starting offensive line, all out.
