the wolves they introduced to Colorado from Oregon killed their first calves (officially documented)this week.
They did introduce them right before calving season so, maybe poor planning there.

the wolves were collared and tracked and confirmed by Colorado Dept of wildlife, so I'd say it's confirmed from everything I read.
