SGA's shot before it was crazy enough on its own.

I'm calling ESPY nominations for this ending and Jared Casey's parents.

Probably a top 5 NBA buzzer beater of all time.

If just simply based on the play alone, quite possibly.
But it's no where near that if everything else is factored in - this was a regular season game with maybe the two worst teams in the NBA.

There's been many buzzer beaters in the playoffs.
This doesn't sniff top 5 all time.
Jordan's Chicago Bulls alone have a collection of 5 better than this.

Ya play alone. Not situational. And with 0.0 left on clock (true game ender).

Longest buzzer beater ever i think. Pretty cool shit.

either he just loves playing.....or he's terrible with his money.

I mean, I guess I'd play as long as I was able....but, I dunno, with the amount id money hea made in his career I might find it more pleasant to dissappear onto my Ranch or Villa somewhere.
With COVID outbreak, I am wondering if his agent thinks he can get on an NBA team for some games this season. Chicago would take him. That guy has always loved to play hoops.
Feels like this could happen at any moment.

Joe Johnson, Isaiah Thomas, and CJ Miles have all been signed in the last week.

Seems like a Big 3 team. In fact, I think a couple of those guys already played in that league.

That was my exact thought--was going to post that Ice Cube is going to be out of players.

The guys good enough to play in the NBA are all on contract elsewhere, so you have these old guys getting signed.

I personally would rather see G League guys that would otherwise be stuck there forever get to live the dream for 10 days.

I still can’t help but wonder about last year’s squad

How they struggled, and how there was plenty of scapegoating to go around

And yet, of all the guys who deserve blame, the one who got blamed the most is also the only one who made an nba roster so far

It's a specialized league. I'm not surprised about Garrett for this season, but would be shocked if he sticks in the league for many years.

He had a bad season, compared to expectations, and even compared to his season previous.

He was the senior leader.

Ochai and DMac and Remy are seniors. They'll be blamed for things if expectations arent met....which many on here and around the fanbase break down to a single elimination tournament of six games.
KUBB is a tough gig.

I agree that last year's shit rotation-building should not be held against Garrett.

No.
But he was underwhelming.
Theres no way around that.

He didnt seem to improve on the season previous...and because he was put into a role that wasnt meant for him.

But only because of his performance versus his role. Which, that wasn't his fault; see Russell Robinson for an example of how differently things can go.

Edited to your point.
Unfair to him but doesn't change the baseline.

A lot of us saw Garrett as a defensive super star who would be a role player in the League. And hoped his shooting would improve.

He is a defensive star.
His shooting did not improve.
It may have gotten worse.

( I think it kinda stayed the same...his looks just weren't cushioned by the B12POY anymore )

If we’re gonna credit the big 12 poy for cushioning Garrett’s numbers, then let’s also fault the hesitant shooters and spazoid big he had to work with with as pg.
