I have seen a lot of California weather videos. I was going to share some on here but figure if people care they can search for them themselves. Sad situation. I'm sure the earthquake yesterday didn't help things either.

80+ degrees and 87% humidity at 8:00am and I witnessed multiple people wearing jackets on my walk to work.

90 here today...was only 68 yesterday and first rain in months as we caught the end of that California hurricane. Was a very very welcome break.

As someone who lived in Southern California for about twenty years…this (mud) was not just highly foreseeable, but the MOST likely problem.

i’ve known for years that the natural disaster risks in cali are:

1) earthquakes
2) mudslides
3) fires
4) blizzards

(and now, i guess tropical storms/hurricanes, too)

In the meantime in Louisiana, the State with the second highest average rainfall just behind recently burned Hawaii.
