We have been fortunate that Morocco doesn’t have a couple goals but you can’t complain much about a win v a World Cup qualifier.

So Uruguay in KC Sunday.
And then CONCACAF league.
Wonder if Gregg will play his A/B+ squad for that.

We were lucky not to be down a goal or two early, but I was pleased with how aggressive we were. Got some guys some minutes. Got out of there healthy. Got a win against a decent team.
Fun game.

Looked good. Morocco had some moments and that's to be expected with a World Cup team. Morocco didn't press much when US had the ball. US had a lot of space.
Had 53% of possession. 10 of the 11 shots were on goal. Morocco had 22 shots but just 8 on goal.
Haji Wright is an interesting player at the 9 spot. Ferreira played fine, but Wright had the PK goal and created another good chance. Wright is 6'4. Scored 14 goals in 21 appearances in the Turkish Super League. One of Pulisic's best friends from their youth days. He'll be a guy to keep an eye on.

The score didn’t do Morocco justice but we finished and they didn’t.
Turner had a couple good saves where a lesser keeper wouldn’t have held onto the ball and there woulda been rebound chances. And Morocco’s keeper had a major blunder.
Uruguay, with a full squad, is a tougher test. These were very good schedules.

Massive. And to have both on home soil is big for the confidence of the guys. US has gone elsewhere for the last 5 or so years. To France, to Switzerland, etc.

Really liked what I saw in Wright last night. I hope he gets multiple chances over the next three games. That spot has been a real struggle for the USMNT. So much so that the announcers were speculating about Weah playing there. For the record, I’m not completely against him or even Pulisic taking over that spot.
I like Ferreira, but he’s not ready. But he and Pepi could be major contributors in 2026.

Pulisic- Wright - Weah
McKennie - Adams - Reyna
Robinson - Zimmerman - TBD - Dest
Looking like a fantastic lineup.
Aaronson, Musah & Busio as top subs.

Not sure if Wright takes that spot but otherwise, yes, that looks like our crew.
Long was not good.
We would have been much better with Robinson there.
I know he's been bad for his club but i'd give Brooks another couple of looks before the cup starts.

It's beyond frustrating that Gregg has some personal issue with Brooks. He should be the other starting CB but he likely won't even make the roster. This personal beef thing seems to be a constant with USMNT coaches. Arena, Klinsmann and Bradley all suffered from either a personal beef or a personal favorite problem that prevented them from putting the best talent on the pitch together. Klinsmann was the worst.
Definitely no guarantee that Wright locks up a starting position. That spot is a total mystery right now.

They definitely have some sort of issue with each other.
Get over it, this is the World Cup.
As far as subs go, I think Gregg is gonna have his boy Acosta high in the pecking order.
While I like Busio ( KC WIZARDS ) I'm not sure he's a full lock to go to Qatar ( though I think he makes the squad ).

That's another Gregg issue, fucking soft spot for MLS players. This issue also plagued Bradley and Arena.
Busio is so much better than Acosta.
Although, of all the trash bag MLS players (Acosta, Zardes, Morris, Arriola, Lletget, Roldan, Yedlin), I like Acosta the most and would not have a problem if he makes the roster. Same with Ferreira and Mihailovic.

Acosta has played better for the national team than Busio.
Gregg's love for MLS players is just as bad as your hate.

I don’t hate MLS players. Again, season ticket holder for 11 years now. Big fan of the league.
We just have some MLS players who are not talented enough to help us win World Cup games.

Sure.
Just as we have some European based players who are not talented enough to help us win World Cup games.

Though I will agree with you, if they bring Arriola, ima loose it.
