That quarterback sneak on 4th and 8 was brilliant. Even though we won, this Lions team is the best Lions team I've ever seen.
Lions are now 3-7-1 after today's loss to the Skins.
Don't feel bad, you aren't the only one who felt they were "contenders" early in the season.
The Lions are JUNK!
They are the NFC Chargers. Their defense is good enough, but they will only score just enough to rip the heart out of fans and Vegas.

Yep, this thread had some gems after that Lions/Chiefs game.

The Raiders have been pretty obviously a pretender all season. No question after today.

Yes, but no. Probably in the end.
What you have to remember is how badly teams that go west-east do in early games.

The Lions aren’t that bad. They have been without Stafford, remember. Their defense is solid. I see Steve Sims threw a pass for the Redskins.

Gambling or something must be behind the Patriots getting all the calls

Lions won 3 games out of 9 with Stafford.

It feels like to me that this is a year the Pats lose in the Super Bowl. NFL won't let them lose in Gillette but 2 weeks for the NFC team to prep for them.

Watching tonight's game I don't see any AFC team, the Chiefs included that could beat the Pats in Gillette. Zero way I would trust essentially rookie QBs in Watson, Jackson and a second year guy in Mahomes to win in that environment and potentially the weather. Their defense is ELITE, the special teams is good enough (kicker excluded - that could come back to hurt them) and the offense will be just good enough.
Now on a neutral sight I could see a team like the Saints or the Niners giving them issues.

1-4 vs teams .500 or over.
They’ve beat up on bad teams, but they’ve been slipping in their wins. 200 yards total today. Total!

3-3 actually but yeah they’re not fantastic in those games. And went 1-1 without Mahomes in those games.

You and Newt both seem to be off.
Let's take a look. Wins against the Raiders, Ravens, and Vikings. Losses against the Colts, Texans, Packers, and Titans.
What does that equate to? Looks like 3-4 to me.

Yeah, I didnt give them credit for the Raiders win. I thought they were a game lower than they are.
I dont trust either side of the ball right now for KC. Maybe they can get healthy and get their issues fixed but they are starting to look like another "next year they'll be good" Chiefs team again.

I hate to be a negative Nancy but I tend to agree with twocoach. I sincerely hope I’m wrong but this year was bombed the instant Mahomes got hurt and I don’t see them being a strong enough team overall to overcome the numerous fatal flaws they have on both sides of the ball.
Maybe I’m to negative but I also hope we as Chiefs fans don’t look back on last year and this year as absolute, colossal failures by the organization because not only did they not win an SB they didn’t even reach an SB with Mahomes on a rookie deal.
Once Mahomes signs his record, 200 million dollar deal everything is going to change.

I am confident the Chiefs will get in the playoffs. Then we shall see what happens.
As I say too often, doesn't matter how many points you give up as long as you score more points than you give up.
I think the Chiefs very well may have the best offense in football come playoff time.
"Defense wins championships". So does offense - and special teams.
Right now I would guess the Chiefs win their first playoff game and then face either the Pats or the Ravens. That's not going out on a limb but at the moment the Ravens scare me more than the Pats.
Pats defense might be great but let's realize the Ravens offense put up 30 on them.
I am going to go ahead and say if somehow the Chiefs don't play the Ravens in the playoffs, the Chiefs will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
