makes a lot of sense to me

i’ve kinda been expecting/hoping for an ND + KU invite and announcement
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

The idea of KUFB playing in the Big House and Notre Dame Stadium is like when KU pays those trash schools to come play at Allen Fieldhouse.

Travel partner scenario. There's basically no way Oregon moves without a partner and that's Washington so it makes sense.

Can someone explain to me how the travel partner situation works?

I am surprised that Cincinnati is at +1500 better than say UNC and only 100 behind KU.

Conferences generally would prefer to be at an even number of members. Adding two teams at a time with them both from the same region makes sense to create a natural rivalry and another reason to travel to that region. The Big 12 adding West Virginia without another team out east was an anomaly but also explains why Cincinnati was so attractive this time around.

Plus Washington carries the Seattle tv market which is a big value for them.

Id rather expand the big xii than move to the big 10.

I also think all of this sucks.

Supposedly Oklahoma State is in “Active Conversation” with the SEC...with OU greasing the wheels.

Here is one thing to remember in the current too big to fail conference strategies: The Biggest East. The SEC and BiG are so diffused that they lack a common identity other than made for TV drama. The SEC should rename themselves the Duggars.

in a time that the nation is struggling with various hardships, pandemics, inflation, weakening spending power, increased homelessness, increased poverty, division in general, division between the elites and the common folks, insane gas prices,, increased rent and housing costs,, an eye toward future hunger issues....etc.

all this nonsense and whining from schools about millions, and whining from athletes (professional and now our semi pro collegers) makes me sort of ill. It takes a lot of the fun away from what should be a welcome distraction. If it weren't for my love of the Jayhawks I'd probably find myself slipping away from sports. I've already slid away from professional sports and college football has lost a lot of its luster for me. It's crazy too, sports defined a big chunk of my life.

fuckem all, fuck it all.

I’d rather KU join the MAC before that.
