In general I prefer Illy over the tweets. If I wanted tweets, I'd be on twitter.

Obviously, if relevant or advances the conversation or strengthens your point it's fine.

But many use this site as a repository for any tweet they enjoyed or agreed with.

I am obviously 100% guilty of posting many tweets.
When I was at work I would get annoyed when people posted tweets because I couldn't read them (blocked at work).
I think people should take in to account that our President chooses to communicate with the American people (and the world) through Tweets.
People may not agree, but I happen to feel much of what he says/tweets IS worthy of sharing - and discussing.

As far as Illi, he's a big boy. He made himself clear on many occasions. He like everyone else made posts to get attention and be responded to. If he didn't like/care for the responses, didn't like/care for the Liberal "circle jerk", then he had choices. No idea why he chose to "delete" his account rather than not read nor post on the poli board but that was the decision he chose to go with.
Good for him? I hope so if he's happier because of it.
