Trump Jr. released video of Trump and his cronies watching the assault on our nation's Capital while dance music plays and everyone is smiling, dancing and having a great time. I am trembling in outrage right now. They are dancing on the grave of my Grandfather, who gave his life in service of this great nation.

jhawks99 wrote: Thu Jan 07, 2021 10:22 am There were some interesting flags yesterday. The confederate battle flag with an assault rifle superimposed over it was a WTF moment for me.

Anyone know the significance of the yellow flag with 3 red stripes? I saw a lot of those for the 1st time yesterday.
Someone had the flag of South Vietnam at the protest?
It's been adopted as an "anti-socialism" flag by rightwingers.
Interesting! Learn something new every day. Near where I live (San Jose, CA) this flag is a evokes many raw emotions given the large Vietnamese population, many of whom are here because of events which took place during the war. Even now the Vietnamese community is deeply divided about the flag and an argument is almost inevitable if someone brings up this topic (I have many friends and coworkers of Vietnamese origin)

I’m very disturbed that the right wing has repurposed this symbol, although I’m not surprised

Which happens first?

1. Pence resigns. 2. Melania files for divorce.

Wonder if DDD lets Pence back into the WH. Probably changed the keys on him.

What good does resigning do? At least for Pence’s individual career.

I think he’d be much more likely to go all in on the 25th and get to be potus for a few days

I think it has finally sunk in for Pence that he has to be the acting president until trump is gone. When trump refused to send in the National Guard yesterday the DOD and DOJ called Pence and he was involved in the decision to send in the National Guard. Pence will do the right thing and serve out his term.

It's the least he can do considering what he has already done.

I'd bet that part of the reluctance to invoke the 25th is that...well, Trump wouldn't exactly just say "hey, you got me, bye."

...and if there’s one thing we have learned, it’s that beltway authorities are in no way able to rid a government building of unwelcome guests...

But still, if they don’t get rid of Trump now, they still gotta do it in 2 weeks.

Why kick the can down the road?

You think Trump is gonna be any easier to handle in 2 weeks?

Yeah, but if enough of them take selfies with Trump, we could distract him for just long enough...

More arrests were made after the Lakers celebration for winning the NBA title than when Trump loonies stormed the US Capital.

Apparently 4 people died yesterday!

But I’m not sure that’s in the headlines

55 people were arrested yesterday. That is 55 more than were arrested all summer at the blm pep rallies.

The police were soft at the blm pep rally’s. They were soft yesterday. When you got a collection of knuckleheads, I like my police to be tough on crime.

You're seriously not dumb enough to believe that, are you? There were 120 arrests made at the BLM protest in Omaha on July 25th alone. LA County had thousands of arrests.
