I suppose it's the "if you build it (an offensive line), they (quarterbacks) will come" approach.

He literally got 10,000 more to be the highest paid linemen

Money didn't scare me but that six year term sure does. Would have loved to see him here but that is just way to much to invest in a guy that is on the other end of 30 and has had recent injury issues.

Re-signs. I was scratching my head for a second. Terrible deal given his age. Youth movement line is the way to go.

KC probably offered something similar in terms of average per year, but wasn’t going to go longer than like 3 years, I bet.

Dodged a bullet. Could see another cut for cap reasons in his near future

Great news for the Chiefs. Not so great if you are one of those FA WRs.

I wonder of you bring Sammy back with a one year deal with incentives.
Base like 3-5 mill but play 80% of the games and get another 2-3.

If he could play a whole season Watkins would be as good or better than the FA WRs still out there. Especially at what he will play for.

If you can treat Sammy as a high end backup, you're in a great spot.
If you are relying on him as a starter, it will come back to bite you.

A year ago I would have been all in on that but after last year absolutely not. He simply cannot stay healthy anymore so you can't count on him to be there when you need him. His injuries are piling up on him and not only that they are in his legs and muscles that are connected to his explosiveness.

The Bears and Dalton. A less heathy Cutler.
The Chiefs might get to focus on defense in the draft.

It is confirmed that the Belldozer is back in KC on a one year deal. Start confirming with your travel agent now for hotels, flights and tickets for Super Bowl LVI.
