Billy Preston and DeSousa weren't all that good either.

"Keys to the program". That's exactly what Kruger said to Trae Young to get him to OU. Bill stealing lines from Lon to get TyTy. Young was a great college player but not surrounded by the right pieces to get them very far in the post season. I don't think TyTy is Trae Young but he would certainly be surrounded by better pieces.

I'm thinking it comes down to Bill and Cal with TyTy.

If TyTy is...90% as good as Trae? 75% as good?

I'm fine with him saying that.

heck, half of Trae's averages would still be like 13 and 4, which wouldn't not play. That's like freshman Dotson numbers

Seems to be the case. I think Washington has a better chance to play more impactful minutes on a better team if he chooses Kansas than if he chooses Kentucky.

Does he have a family member looking to be an assistant coach for a year or 2?

I think KU-UK are pretty even next season, but will depend on our NBA draft decisions.

Both teams will likely heavily rely on transfers, but there's are a little more proven.

I think Kansas returns far superior players than Kentucky next year.

Kentucky also has a guy that some think are better than him, at his spot, coming in.

Again, depends on our NBA guys, but my statement was that their transfer players, Tshiebwe and Grady, are more proven. I think that is inarguable.

I agree with that. I just think we will be much better than them overall next season.

I know I'm biased, but I would take someone on the rise like Yesufu over someone (Tshiebwe) who didn't live up to expectations and actually got worse his second year.
