Huh?
He's an awful 5 in college. Nobody is suggesting they'd use him as a 5 in the NBA. But he does have the size speed and strength to guard the 3 in the NBA.
Weird morning around here.
I was poking fun at the narrative that KJ is too small to use him like we could/should/would in college, but somehow also a good defensive fit in the nba.
But yea, maybe he could do ok with the specific task of guarding nba wings
We used KJ as a 5 for an entire year. He got abused by good bigs. No rebounding. No shot blocking.
look man, he's just asking the tough questions

Jeez.
You guys are corroborating my point - that maybe it’s silly to even suggest KJ at the nba level.

Nobody suggested that.
If you paid attention (which would be rare for you), the discussion wasn't about "is KJ an NBA player" compared to all other players. It was, on February 15th 2024, if you were forced to play either KJ or Furhpy, that KJ would be more viable. Abused less, albeit abused.
Totally par for the course for you.
Do better.

Excuse me.
“More viable.”
At least I didn’t compare KJ to any NBA players tho right?

If we wouldn’t need to hide KJ on defense in the NBA, then let’s just use him as a 5 in college

Thats like saying jeremy case had the shooting to be an NBA 2 guard on offense

As a freshman we thought KJ would turn into a defensive stud. He hasn't. Why? I think it's because he has the body and athleticism to lock down the 3 spot in college but doesn't possess a single bit of the skillset needed to play the 3 on offense
So instead KJ has been guarding 4 and 5s his whole career, which he isn't big enough to do well

KJ is plenty big to guard 4s.
I’d wager he’s around the average height and a bit heavier than the average power 5 college 4.

Ehhh. I mean 6'8/6'9 is an ideal 4
How tall is KJ truly.. 6'7? With the wingspan of a 6'3 guy?
Kj is absolutely strong and athletic enough tho I agree

I think the average height for a PF in the NBA is between 6 foot 8 and 6 foot 9.
https://gitnux.org/average-height-of-ba ... (170%20cm).
That’s the NBA.
KJ is plenty big enough to guard a PF in college. If you want to argue skillset offensively then sure, different story.

I mean, not really.
Jeremy Case scored 170pts in his entire college career.
Kj Adams scored 428pts last season alone.
Also: Jeremy Case career shooting % was 37%.
He was awesome in warmups though.

At the Combine?
I'm taking Edey's shooting with a grain of salt (thus my saying, "Steph Edey. Lulz") but from what I have been told, the guy has been helping himself more than hurting himself the past couple of weeks - in regards to his projected draft status.
As far as Furphy, all I am going to say is as of last night, he was/is still in Chicago.

Furphy measured 6'7.5" without shoes at combine. Not going to help his stock.

Don't think it'll hurt either. He projects as a SG/SF. That's NBA size for those positions.

Word is Bronny had a really good showing yesterday shooting and jumping wise. Also got a clean bill of health, which is always good after a health scare.
He did measure 6'1 which seemed more realistic than the 6'4 listed height.

He's what he was expected to be without shoes.
I'll leave it up to others to decide if that hurts him, helps him, or doesn't matter.
You know what does matter? As of last night his plan is/was to stay in the draft.
That's his plan unless/until something dramatic would derail that plan.
