OK but like...you don't pick a QB 8th overall to sit for 3 seasons because then you have him for one to two seasons at his rookie contract.
Maybe they are trying to buck a trend?

It better have been the owner who made that call because anyone else will likely be fired in the next 3 years. What a wasted pick on a team that has some ability to spike a bit.
