And no, I really don’t expect an answer.

I am confident you have better chance of him sharing something else on here that he has no fucking clue about than you do getting an intelligent answer to your question from him.Overlander wrote: ↑Thu Sep 28, 2023 11:07 pmWhat policies does Biden have in the workings that are “killing the auto industry”?randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Sep 28, 2023 9:41 pmAlmost every piece along the way was skewed by propaganda

Or, if he does respond, it will be someone else's words in the form of a Twitter/X, or Instagram, or some other form of social media post from someone he has never heard of and knowns nothing about.
On a semi-related note, I laugh when he uses words such as literally and propaganda to try and be more persuasive - when 99% of us on here don't need him to use those words to understand when something is "literally" what it is, and that we are fully aware if something is or isn't propaganda.

he’s one that often uses that word inappropriately anyway, so i wouldn’t put any stock into such claims
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Reminds me of when my now 9 y/o granddaughter first learned the word "literally" several years ago, and way overused it. She still uses it fairly frequently, but thankfully, much more appropriately.KUTradition wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2023 7:07 am he’s one that often uses that word inappropriately anyway, so i wouldn’t put any stock into such claims

The one that kills me is "decimate" and its derivations. The meaning of the word is right there in it, and yet it's grossly misused, literally all of the time.

You're telling me that...adopting standards that encourage people to buy new things...is going to kill the industry that makes the new things?

Do you think electric cars are better for the planet?
Re: 2024
Can we just press fast-forward on this?
You're sitting there ready to press "submit" on your cleverest meme about the environmental impacts of extracting rare earth minerals, or the O&G-funded studies about how producing batteries and electricity is worse, emissions-wise, than producing and burning gasoline.
Others will point out that the environmental (and economic) math will flip when electric cars are adopted (and technologies improved) at scale.
You will then tell us that's what the WEF wants the sheeple to think, or some similar batshittery.
We're all right back where we started, wondering why the world is on fire.

Re: 2024
The thing is fish.... after, like you mentioned, we mine the earth for these rare materials needed for batteries (mining equipment burns fossil feuls), we still have to recharge the batteries.
So we hook them up to the electric grid which is powered by... fossil fuels. Lol
