Well that will help.
We have had major issues with our second corner.

No Pro Bowl for Mahomes—makes sense if you consider the other QBs in the AFC ( Allen, Lamar, Burrow ).
But no pro bowl for McDuffie, again, is just serious bullshit.

The best indicator for a QB is wins and losses. A truly great QB will set aside personal ambitions for the team. Kind of the Dan Marino career arc versus Mahomes. McDuffie's greatness, on the other hand, is a weekly event ignored by the larger media. Maybe he should wear giant chains and take a lot of risks.

Meh.
Not true.
In this case Mahomes lost his starting WR1, WR2 and RB1. His LT never panned out and was an open valve all season. His TE1 didn’t spend as much time in the offseason doing the things he normally does and got older. His RT just sucks.
So I do think he’s been better than what is immediately assumed from his numbers.
All that said, Burrow, Allen and Lamar have been so so good you just can’t put Mahomes over them for the Pro Bowl.

Also if the Bengals win tonight I actually want to win tomorrow so the 7 seed Bengals can reign terror on Buffalo or Baltimore OR the 7 seed Tyreek flames out first round.

Cincinnati is 1-7 against teams who are in the playoffs as of today and the only win was in OT at home vs. Denver. Their defense is ass and good teams have scored at will on them. I dont see them terrorizing anyone. This whole media shtick of "no one wants to see the Bengals in the playoffs" is corny. I would love to see KC play against that trash defense again.

Agree on both counts. Mahomes didn't earn it based on his play but McDuffie certainly did.

They also had some bad luck in several of those looses. They easily could have 3 wins v KC and Baltimore. ( yes I know they did not win but the Chiefs escaped with a pretty tight PI call and Bengals got hosed late by a no PI call v Balty )
Higgins has been out for many of those games but since he’s been healthy they’ve been winning and are on a streak.
Id much rather see Bo Nix or Tua than Burrow in a playoff game.

I’d argue the Bengals kind of did as well in that game by not finishing their drives and letting the ball touch a non returner on a punt to lead to a turnover with, what, five minutes on the clock?

Agreed.
The not funny thing is the Chiefs are 15-1. They didn't really look like a serious contender in the majority of their games I watched them play. Meanwhile, no one can convince me that they aren't the best team in football.
Sure, the Bills and Lions, and maybe one or two other teams are legit but heck, the fricking Vikings are 14-2. Come on.

Fair enough. I suppose it is wise to not want any team who feels like they are on a bit of a heater and Cincy seems to be playing confidently lately. Their defense certainly looked better last night but I blame a lot of that on the return of 2022 Russell Wilson. He was a giant turd last night. So many overly cautious decisions.
No worries, I think Denver will beat KC today and we won't have to worry about them. Who knew that a Week One clunker at home vs. the Patriots would end up being the difference maker for Cincinnati.

Chase had sat out the offseason/preseason and Higgins was out I think for that Pats disaster.

I don't think the Bengals make the playoffs. As a fan of a playoff team, I would not want to play them.

You are correct on both counts. Cincinnati went 1-4 in the games that Higgins missed (weeks 1-2 and 8-10), the only win being against the hapless Raiders.
To me, it makes the Chiefs and Mahomes winning with so many of their weapons out all the more impressive. Take one of Burrow's weapons away and they can't win.

Y’all are silly. Mahomes, Burrow, and Allen (and Jackson in regular season) are all badasses.
This is like a bunch of hot girls arguing over who is the hottest.
Good luck in a couple weeks! I’d like the Bengals to make the playoffs, as I think that’s theoretically the most fun team to watch as a casual observer.

Bengals remind me of the 1989 Chiefs in Marty's first year. Got hot late and missed the play-offs. Most dangerous team at the end of the season.

Mahomes hasn’t been his jaw dropping self but he’s done well with the offensive patch work of a squad…hopefully some of those signs that Hollywood could move the chains will only build into closer to what we expected in the offseason.

The offense seems to be noticeably better with Brown out there so I am guardedly optimistic that it will continue to improve as this unit gets more reps together. His presence makes everything easier for Kelce, Worthy and Hopkins.
Man, I wish Rice was healthy. KC would be the runaway favorite to win it all. I know, we don't go get Hopkins if Rice is not injured but man, that's a nightmare group to defend. Curious to see who of this group returns to KC next season.
