Can’t wait for Brady to be bailed out in Green Bay with some soft ass PI and DH calls in the 4th quarter

Currently KC is -13.5.
Too much for a playoff game.
I'd bet Steelers to cover that.

I agree 13.5 is a lot but.........
The Chiefs proved then can beat them by 26 (I feel it could/should have been more).
Last 4 games, the Steelers scored 1 TD against the Titans, 1 meaningless TD against the Chiefs, 2 TD against the Browns, and 1 TD against the Ravens.

Spags has turned the defense around with a ( knock on wood ) healthy roster ( Gay and Bolton playing well at the LB position where we've sucked since DJ ) but I'd trade him for Flores if he wanted to be a DC.

1. Flores is going to be a head coach next year.
2. Defense is built for a Spags defense. Flores more of the 3-4 hybrid defense. Spags is big on 4 down linemen.

I have confidence Flores could work with our personnel.
But I agree, he has a decent shot at getting one of these openings.

Would it be better for him to pretend they are the better team?
These are high level athletes. He knows what he's doing. He wants his team to play loose because they have nothing to lose.

Except for the game, their season and any money to be had from advancing in the playoffs.
I am of the belief that if you are having to generate artificial motivation to play in a playoff game then there is an underlying problem. But most of this "play loose" stuff is just generic reminders to free their brains of stress and nerves so whatever.

This was like 5 years ago. But the week leading up to playing the Chiefs, Ben called Marcus Peters the best corner he's faced in a while, or something along those line. On THE VERY FIRST PLAY for Pittsburgh's offense, he threw it deep over Peters for like 50 yards.
He can't do that now, but he's playing mind games and he knows it. The only way that he feels his team has a chance.

Might as well shut Big Ben out in his last game.

Or knock him out of it.

I want him to play to the end, poorly throughout.
Last pass of his career his third interception of the day kind of deal.

my in-laws live in the KC area and are huge steelers fans (my wife not so much). allegiance has blinded them to the shortcomings of big ben…to me, he looked old and fat against baltimore. i joked that Will Ferrel coulda been out there and nobody would have been the wiser if the helmet never came off

But he's going to the HOF for sure.

Ben had a HOF career, but his last several laps around the track were really bad--that's going to be remembered, especially considering who his contemporaries are.
And then there is that elephant.
