i applaud the phans if they push back. hit em in the pocketbook. good way to express our displeasure.
Broken clock, twice a day.

I used to go to a game every season when i'm back in Lawrence - basically i've gone to at least one game every year for.....checks notes, since 2000 - i stopped this last season and it's looking like it's gonna continue.

KU will play Brown while i'm there - I'll watch at a bar/at home.
Consider me one of those phans pushing back.

It's really not a big deal, except in that same sort of way one can't not look at a car crash.

I still find myself incredulous to the wreckage.
What's incredulous is two random people arguing over what would happen in hypothetical basketball plays with some sort of seriousness as if they know what the fuck they are talking about.
don't think you intended it, but actually this is pretty much the best description of the hoops bored yet.

now do satellite bored!

It's cool to see the same play or plays over and over. Across several years with different players.

We used a middle seal with KJ to get him open 8-10 feet from the bucket close to the baseline several times last season vs zones.

Maybe the thing i noticed most watching that video was that all 5 guys on the court needed to know what was going on for many of those plays to work. Really cool to watch the guys off the ball who aren't going to get the ball and how what they do helps make the plays successful.

Just announced that Jamari McDowell WILL be taking a redshirt season this year. After watching all the depth of talent at guard last night, it looks like the right decision.

I am already looking forward to Jamari and Elmarko when they get back!

Hunter, Juan, AJ, KJ all named to Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 Watchlist

Gonna be difficult to collect individual awards when you have that many on the same roster.

that's a good problem to have.

I liked the ones where a guy sets a moving screen with his hands over his head like he's calling for the ball. Fools the refs every time. Smart.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Surprised how much Rylan Griffen sat in the 2nd half against North Carolina. Self went with the other guys and didn't rotate him in

I was wondering the same thing.

He came out all pissed with his hands over his head at one point.

Storr didn't seem to be giving us much more offensively than Griffen. I understand why Zeke was in there. Zeke proved he can guard the other teams star PG once DH got in foul trouble. I guess Storr was doing some of that too. Maybe it was a defensive decision by Self.

We always can expect that rotation to tighten up once the game gets close.

One of the most exciting things I've noticed watching highlights of last night.....

The excitement Rylan Griffen showed at the buzzer running out and celebrating, even though he didn't play much (if at all) down the stretch. It's hard to quantify, but having a team mindset like that is huge. Because Storr Griffen and Zeke are all pretty close, and 1 is going to be left out in crunch time many/most games (because DH KJ and HD are locks).

I think Coit starting actually helps. We bring Zeke and Storr in as scoring off the bench. Everyone stays happy. Nobody feels left out. And Zeke and Storr get starter minutes. Some nights I'm sure it'll be Griffen down the stretch.

I hope we get 2 years out of Griffen and Storr.

on that point, 42 points off the bench is obviously an astronomical change from last year

i doubt it remains 50% of the offensive output for the season, but it’s a great sign
