Strange to belittle someone for having minority race family members and/or law enforcement family members.
So woke.

In 2010, Republicans — in an effort to control the drawing of congressional maps — forged a campaign to win majorities in as many state legislatures as possible. It was wildly successful, giving them control over the drawing of 213 congressional districts. The redrawing of maps that followed produced some of the most extreme gerrymanders in history. In battleground Pennsylvania, for example, the congressional map gave Republicans a virtual lock on 13 of the state’s 18 congressional districts, even in elections where Democrats won the majority of the statewide congressional vote.
Nationally, extreme partisan bias in congressional maps gave Republicans a net 16 to 17 seat advantage for most of last decade. Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania alone — the three states with the worst gerrymanders in the last redistricting cycle — accounted for 7 to 10 extra Republican seats in the House.
On the state level, gerrymandering has also led to significant partisan bias in maps. For example, in 2018, Democrats in Wisconsin won every statewide office and a majority of the statewide vote, but thanks to gerrymandering, won only 36 of the 99 seats in the state assembly.
Though Republicans were the primary beneficiaries of gerrymandering last decade, Democrats have also used redistricting for partisan ends: in Maryland, for instance, Democrats used control over map-drawing to eliminate one of the state’s Republican congressional districts.
...
The Supreme Court’s 2019 decision in Rucho v. Common Cause greenlighting partisan gerrymandering has made things worse. The Voting Rights Act and the Constitution prohibit racial discrimination in redistricting. But because there often is correlation between party preference and race, Rucho opens the door for Republican-controlled states to defend racially discriminatory maps on grounds that they were permissibly discriminating against Democrats rather than impermissibly discriminating against Black, Latino, or Asian voters...

According to a poll conducted in December 2018, 65 percent of respondents who identified as Democrats did not favor the practice of gerrymandering. While Republicans were slightly more likely to support gerrymandering than Democrats or Independents, 59 percent were still opposed.

Yea, both sides DO do it!
On second thought, maybe both sides do have some fundamental differences…speaking of which, could you try to not bring yer minority race family members around any more? There’s concerns it’s rubbing some of the other Q bros the wrong way.
Cuz when we say where “we” go one we go all, well, you know what we mean.
Kinda like when the founding fathers said “all men are created equal, you know what we mean, wink wink lol”

keep ramming your $#!t down other peoples throat. we'll see how that works out in nov 22.
"I only want my kids to learn what I agree with" isn't the answer. "I only want to be around people who look, think and feel like I do" isn't the answer. Electing a bunch of con men and grifters isn't the answer.

exactly
cheating and disenfranchisement…the funny thing is that even if that happens, it doesn’t change the truth, no matter how much mich wants to think it does
2020 was the last free and fair election that we will see for quite a while.
Unless your side wins.
"My" side will occasionally win despite the overt efforts by the GOP to cheat. Those wins don't mean that those elections were magically "free and fair".

Cheating is cheating.
I don't think either side should engage in gerrymandering.

I didn't say that "my" side would only win by cheating as well. I just said that at times they will be able to overcome the cheating done by the GOP. But the GOP has managed to shoehorn itself in to enough places despite their diminishing status as a representative of those they are representing that it will be another 25 years of this nonsense.
It feels like we are still maybe two generations from the GOP becoming simply to much of a minority in this country to matter any more.

Saw the edit coach....
So if we can all agree many on both sides do not think elections are free and fair anymore and the legitimacy is gone, then where do we go from here? It's not going to be a good place.
Qop won't accept losses due to fraud that doesn't exist.
Libs won't accept losses because of gerrymandering and voter suppression....which btw i agree are legitimate issues.
Either way, even though one side may be right and one may be wrong, both sides will lose.
Although you're nuts if don't think Biden has chased some people back to the "other side" or no side at all. 2022 and 2024 are going to be tight and not just due to gerrymandering and voter suppression (or fake voter fraud).

Biden’s approval ratings and reelection prospects are in the tank cuz he gave lip service promises to advance popular progressive initiatives on the campaign trail, then took a big steamy septuagenarian dump on those promises in favor of the same old corporate imperial bullshit, and now he’s wondering why more folks don’t like him.
But, in the spirit of this thread, who knows! Maybe lip service’ll be enough to get re-elected, considering the GOP can’t seem to offer a popular initiative about anything at all.

the folks don't want dt. but they do want dt's policies.

he’s definitely lost a good chunk of my support by doing things counter to his purported environmental/climate platform
but, i’ve said before jokingly that both dems and pubs will fuck you…the dems just do it with a smile

Yea.
At the end of the day there’s so little difference between Dems and pubs in the Merican 2 party system.
But, go figure how many Mericans think the problem is the other side
