Zeke is the best guard on the team and it's not close. I'll let self decide how to divide the minutes.

I'd say we are probably best playing dajuan and zeke together big minutes. I still wanna see what we have in shakeel moore

Still a no from me, dawg. Your persistence to find a reason for DH to be benched is embarrassing at this point.

Dajuan averages more points per game than Storr and Griffen.

I think Dajuan is probably a better 3pt shooter than Storr. Stats seem to support that conclusion.

I think our best lineup is:
DH
Zeke
Whoever is playing better between Storr and Griffen.
KJ
HD

If you think we're better off with Storr or Griffen in over DH then you clearly haven't been watching the games. (Which you've admitted you haven't, with multiple games already this year)

fake news!

except for the end of the UNC game cuz the cable crapped out, but I watched the game thread and game cast and caught replays.

My point was and is, we might need shooting from the 1 in certain matchups and situations.

And considering Dajuan has always been kind of a limited 3pt shooter, and thus far hasn't exactly given indication he's improved his 3pt shooting this year, I'm just concerned it could bite us in the ass at some point.

But I still think Dajuan is gonna play a ton, and we're gonna win a bunch with him out there!

It's just still nice to have options this year, even at the 1.

LOL

when we've needed a basket from a guard this season DH just passes it to Zeke (we have also drawn up plays for DH to get himself shots going to the basket and he has been successful). Zeke doesn't need DH to be on the bench for Zeke to be the guard to intiate offense or find a shot for himself.

This isn't nearly as complicated as you're trying to make it. At the end of close games, DH Zeke KJ and HD are ALL going to be on the court. The last (5th) person will change game to game.

Probably true. But I'm entertaining the idea of taking KJ out of that lineup.

We all know what KJ is, a stud and a leader on this team. He's earned his minutes and is going to be a big part of our team.

But it's also true that he's an undersized 4 with zero perimter shooting ability.

If you want your best possible offensive lineup, there's a good argument to get him out of there. An undersized 4 who can't shoot handicaps your spacing/potential

KJ is elite and a screener and roller though. He has great chemistry with dajuan, and understands areas to receive the pass as the screener that puts him in the triple threat. He can hit that little baby jumper, drive, or pass at a high level. So there's an argument we may still be best offensively with KJ in there. But he does clog things up some and make hunters post ups and driving lanes a bit more congested

If shooting were the only aspect, then yes.

But, it's not. The ball sticks with Storr and Griffen. They aren't as good of passers as KJ. They aren't as good at defense as KJ. And we're talking about 3rd or 4th options offensively, anyway. The gameplan is always going to be to get HD easy shots. When it's perimeter oriented, it's going to be to get Zeke shots. KJ is better at helping accomplish those two things (in my opinion of course).

Agree with all this.

To mitigate your last point about HD, we've been doing some high low. We've also tried getting KJ the ball as a cutter who looks to dump it off the HD. Which has also been effective at times.
