I hadn't thought of it like that.

We handled them well enough last time we played them and they had Tank Dell and Mahomes was on a gimpy ankle.
Might as well have just posted - So we play either Buffalo or Baltimore.
Eh.
The Texans just won by 20.
It's the NFL - all teams can win any given Sunday - even more so the ones in the playoffs.

Stroud has been surprisingly poor this season ( I thought he was due for a breakout ) but Houston still has a strong defense.
Yes.

I don't THINK the bye and not playing the starters in week 17 is/was such a great thing.
I guess maybe I am saying that in part because of what happened to Oregon and Georgia?
I assume historically it's a better thing than a worse thing.
I hope I am wrong and a well rested Chiefs team beats the crap out of the Texans.

I speak for some great folks around this great country when I say we would like to see the first 3 peat in NFL history. That, and there are a lot of great folks around this great country who would love to see Tay Tay on television while watching the Super Bowl - and want to see her happy.

College teams have zero experience diong what they had to do this year.

The Chiefs have a lot of experience doing what they are gearing up to do. And yes, historically, the teams with first round byes have made it to the Super Bowl at a far higher rate than those without a bye.

We had to wait 20 years to get Brady and the Patriots out of the way. KC is in no hurry to fade away.

Some tend to overlook this factor but the Texans are a warm climate/dome team and the weather in KC Saturday will be in the upper 20's with possible snow.

Is Golden Raye going to be at the game?
I'm going to guess no but knowing Brittany, the kid will probably be there with her ears pierced, wearing high heels and tight leather pants, and with lipstick on.
I know, I should have just posted - Congrats to Pat on kid #3.

Yes, the college teams had a new playoff system, and ALL the teams that had byes lost.
GRANTED..... They lost to teams the odds makers felt they weren't supposed to beat.

As you said, "The Chiefs have a lot of experience doing what they are gearing up to do. And yes, historically, the teams with first round byes have made it to the Super Bowl at a far higher rate than those without a bye".
Which to me translates to..... The long rest probably isn't a negative.
I agree. A team with little playoff experience, I don't know if I would agree as much.

Mahomes try to have a kid window should be 5 weeks around Thanksgiving.

As for the Chiefs, I'm glad they got a couple of weeks off. There were a number of players that needed a chance to heal up. I know the rust versus rest thing, but injuries need time to heal. Also gives Andy time to work in his mad scientist laboratory and come up with a few wrinkles.

Absolutely. That three games in 10 days thing especially.

Although KSHB doesn't know what day it is, here's Coach Reid today, Thursday.
