I just want to continue to see some glimpses of hope from the group of Furphy Elmarko Timberlake and Jamari. I feel pretty confident in what our main 4 guys can do under pressure when the stakes are the highest. But they need help. Badly.

Those sort of streaks always scare me when I hear them on gameday. Like the free throw streak announcer curse.

Haven't KU and OU been playing home and home series every year all those years?

CBS Sports: ...The Sooners haven't won in Lawrence since 1993, dropping 22 consecutive games in the historic venue.

Saturday's game will be the third time the teams have played in Lawrence as top 10 opponents during that streak...

i’m ready for a dominate performance vs okie lite

yes, yes…we tend to struggle in stoolwater, but still. take care of the ball, play solid D, and everything else will fall into place

That's kind of depressing.

Don't they know who we are?

Here's hoping all of the above comes true. Time to make a conference statement.

Looking over the Cowboys lineup Eric Dailey stands out.

Shooting 27% from 3pt range.

I see him going 7-9 from 3pt tonight and me yelling at the TV and Dok barking at me and leaving the room. I think we win but it's closer than it should be.

Also I see a fire being lit under Elmarko now that he is coming off the bench, and he goes off for 3 pts and 2 rebs.

Not sure what to make of Okie State. Some bad losses, but don't know enough about them to know if there were reasons (injuries, suspensions, sickness, etc.).

I will take very little away from this game as far as our big 4 are concerned. We know what all 4 of them are capable of. None of them are likely to show us anything "new"....but these games are huge for Elmarko and Furphy (and Timberlake too, I guess). They benefit from these games far more than the vets on the roster.

We know Bill has had some issues in Stillwater but this isn't a good OSU team.

They turn the ball over a lot. Maybe Bill throws some full court on em every 5-6 possessions just to keep em guessing.

They also are shitty FT shooters.

Javon Small is their best player - 6'3 junior guard.
Is a very solid 3PT shooter.
Please give him the attention he deserves.

^^^

damning with faint praise

japhy is nothing if not passive aggressive

Damning with faint praise is an English idiom, expressing oxymoronically that half-hearted or insincere praise may act as oblique criticism or condemnation.[1][2] In simpler terms, praise is given, but only given as high as mediocrity, which may be interpreted as passive-aggressive.

History of the term
The concept can be found in the work of the Hellenistic sophist and philosopher Favorinus (c. 110 CE) who observed that faint and half-hearted praise was more harmful than loud and persistent abuse.[3]
