Ah. This is where things get fuzzy. Criticizing Israel is fine. So is criticizing its foreign policy and even its housing policy. But when you cross a line -- as zsn did here -- into spouting Palestinian propaganda and calling it "fact," then what is that? When Jews are held to standards of behavior that no one else (especially in that region) is held to, and when they are vilified and given defamatory labels simply for defending themselves against a tireless and vicious enemy (e.g. Hamas, a favorite of Rashia Tlaib's), then what is that?

It is, clearly, prejudice against Israel and against its inhabitants. And what shall we call that prejudice?

Who decides where The Line is? If you (and MjI) claim that I am "spouting Palestinian propaganda" aren't you in effect "spouting Israeli propaganda"? I don't have a dog in this fight. But when one is the Administrator of something that the Entire World calls "Occupied Territories" you're doing something wrong. Propaganda be damned.

My ignorance nothwithstanding, your position is that the Israeli Govt is faultless? BTW, nowhere did I suggest that Palestinians are without fault. They have perpetrated terrorist acts too numerous to count and have committed much atrocity.

Well, for starters, "Palestine" is the historic name given by the ancient Greeks and later by the Romans to denote the parcel of land occupied for most of three thousand years BC by the Jewish people.

Additionally, the "Palestinian" people were, for most of the last 1000 years, indistinguishable ethnically and linguistically from the Trans-Jordanian and Syrian Arabs. The Palestinian ethnic group was mostly "created" to be used as a distinguishing marker in response to Zionism.

Then there's the whole slaughter of 6 million people and the driving of much of the rest of the diaspora from the countries in which they lived (including ALL Arab nations, without compensation)....
