To what end do you wish to touch Israel?

But when one is the Administrator of something that the Entire World calls "Occupied Territories" you're doing something wrong. Propaganda be damned.

Any idea why those territories WERE occupied the first place? Or why they WERE occupied for decades afterward? Moreover, any idea who decided on the label "occupied territories" or from whence the terminology sprang?

Any idea whom the Palestinians put in charge of Gaza after unilateral Israeli disengagement from the area in 2005? Any idea what that ruling group has pledged to do to Israel and its inhabitants or what sort of 19th century Okhrana fantasies they cite as the justification for their plans?

Moreover, the questions are what people sometimes call "rhetorical." The implication being that any normal person should know the answers.

My ignorance nothwithstanding, your position is that the Israeli Govt is faultless? BTW, nowhere did I suggest that Palestinians are without fault. They have perpetrated terrorist acts too numerous to count and have committed much atrocity.

Israel was created not recognized.

Okay. So were a lot nations that were colonies. If one wants to single out Israel as special, I am good with that because Israel is special. Maybe someone can tell me another faith that has endured more persecution.

Well, for starters, "Palestine" is the historic name given by the ancient Greeks and later by the Romans to denote the parcel of land occupied for most of three thousand years BC by the Jewish people.

Additionally, the "Palestinian" people were, for most of the last 1000 years, indistinguishable ethnically and linguistically from the Trans-Jordanian and Syrian Arabs. The Palestinian ethnic group was mostly "created" to be used as a distinguishing marker in response to Zionism.

Then there's the whole slaughter of 6 million people and the driving of much of the rest of the diaspora from the countries in which they lived (including ALL Arab nations, without compensation)....
