I think, outside of the final 2 minutes of a game, Weber is a very good game day coach. His players play very hard.

Weber's biggest issue, imho, is recruiting and retaining players. Which is why I don't think he's a great power 5 coach. But he's had great success with talented teams (first few years at Illinois with Self's players and his first year or two at KSU with Martin's guys). That's what makes this year's KSU squad seem like a pretty good team. Weber managed to get 2 legitimately good big12 players...and surrounded them with veteran guys, plus they're coming off a deep tournament run.

KSU is gonna be pretty good, it helps that the big12 is having a down year. The Weber criticism is excessive here because he's at KSU and held a funeral for Self. He's a good coach. He has some enormous flaws though.

weber is fine.
he's a perfect fit for kansas state basketball.
his team will be good this year.

i would say he gets a good deal out of his players. maybe good at running practices. he is not good on the actual court - his play calling in tight situations is scott drew bad.

Illinois would be better off if they'd have never gotten rid of weber. Some schools (similar to KState) need to accept what they are. Illinois seemed to think (after Self) they were just a coach away from being Duke/UNC/KU/UK, which is laughable / inaccurate.

Illini - They hired Weber after Self so I am not so sure they thought they were just a coach away from being Duke/UNC/KU/UK.
Now that being said, as delusional as I feel many Illini fans are, I don't think they were so off to think they were on par with UNC, KU, and UK from 03 to 06.

Illinois cutting Weber probably worked out better for him than them but I don't know for sure yet because Underwood maybe their savior?

Not at home. At Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut.

You are nicer than me. I hope he is out all year so the KSU fans who thought they were an Elite Eight team who was adding a Big 12 POY that would push them past KU and end the streak can suffer.

I'm sure all the staters were hoping Dok's ankle wasn't shattered and he would be back quick!

Everyone knows KStates Elite 8 was served up. They are not going to repeat, they certainly arent extending past that point. If Kstate isn’t making shots from distance, they won’t make it past the opening game. They haven’t shown anything yet this season to show otherwise. Certainly not threatening the good guys.

I too would like state fans to eat their purple skid marked shorts, but not at the expense of Wades health. Keep it the same as always. Brucies doing.

I don't care where a kid goes to school. Wishing injury on a kid is about as wrong as it gets.

He’s not a kid. He’s an adult

I am not wishing an injury on him. He already has an injury. I am not actually serious; it's just fun to imagine KSU fans delusional dreams dashed against the rocks.

Longtime Kstate poster at .com, tmcats, is saying Wade could be done for season. But I imagine that’s because he said Wade was B12POY.

Everybody woulda known who you meant just by saying tmcats, though I like the idea of introducing posters like that.

5-time greatest poster on .net, PhDHawk, agrees!
