Ok, since you want to continue the chastising after I said my piece/peace and wanted to move on - let me appease you.
What’s bullshit is that if you wanted to put two and two together you would conclude he was underage drinking after being put on a time out by Self and as soon as the cops were called the manager fully realized if he were to press charges then he would get nailed for serving and selling alcohol to minors so that was the end of that - and of course Bill I am full of shit Self decided that he too had a decision to make in which he would either get ripped a new asshole for continuing to bring in guys who embarrass themselves and the program or just simply say he spoke with Dedric and everything was cool.
How’d I do? Happy now?
P.S. Since I wanted to make Lawson look bad I should have included the fight at KU that got his ass left behind on the Italy trip and the alleged fiasco at Penny’s in my original post. Damn! I screwed that up. Sorry!
No the two times you've mentioned them now were enough. Plus you lumped in his dad...any other family members you wanna use to make him look bad? How about we hold you responsible for every bad thing any relative of yours has done?
What would the appropriate penalty be for a 20 year old drinking alcohol in the summer...two wind sprints? And here you are more than a year later, making a big deal about it.
I think not getting to go to italy was plenty severe enough punishment for a fight. He probably doesn't need to take any shit from a guy who seeks relationship advice from strangers on a ku message board.
I'm sorry for my original post and the subsequent posts. Should have just joined in the celebratory and congratulatory thread with a positive post and been done.
Like I said in one of the posts, "I'm just a little tired of what it takes to win at KU these days (trials and payment accusations included) and what Self has to put up with and deal with to do it".
I let that get the worst of me yesterday and I apologize for it.
I apologize to PhD, Dedric, the Lawson family, Bill Self, the coaching staff, the players, the entire KU athletic department, KU students, KU alum, KU fans, everyone who is a "member" of this site, and anyone else I may have upset and angered.

No reason to apologize. He put himself in those situations to a large extent, so that's on him....I wasn't a big Dedric fan off the bat, and am still skeptical of how his attitude will be if things don't go well for him individually (although the chances of that look slim).
Sooooooo........pretty exciting that we could have three straight 1st team all americans and have them be three different players no less. Has that ever happened at KU? Or honestly, anywhere?
Kansas has never had 3 straight seasons with a 1st Team AP All American even if allowing for the same player multiple times. A historically great run we are in right. Would love to see Dedric play well enough to earn that and he certainly appears capable.
Just going back to 2000-01, and using AP teams only...maybe I'm wrong. Hasn't happened for Duke or UNC or UK. KU is one of a handful of teams to even do it twice.

And, in that span, KU's actually had two two-year runs - Gooden/Collison (missed Simien by a year!) and Mason/Graham.
